LEGO Air Force One 747 . This has been quite a project!! This model of Air Force One has a full interior, functioning landing gear, flaps, forward and aft air-stairs and of course the fact that it somehow keeps itself together. This is the largest model Iíve ever built measuring at 6 feet in length and has a wingspan of 5 1/2 feet. This is impossible to move in one piece. Iím not the strongest guy in the world but have always been able to move any aircraft Iíve built. I was even able to move my previous 747. This one is actually far sturdier than my previous one so itís safer to move. This weighs so much it started damaging my display tables. In order to be able to transport this it breaks down into reasonably sized sections to facilitate transport. There is no glue involved nor is there any non-LEGO involved here. Everything is designed with weight/ stress transfer in mind to minimize warping. The lamps do indeed function. They are powered by brickstuff lights and the cables are run under the floor. The same goes for both the wing lights and engine cables. The interior on this model is as close to the real thing as I could get it but of course since itís LEGO not everything is 100% accurate. .
