Star Trek TOS Class F Shuttle Galileo IRL . A classic design revisited...yet again. . I rebuilt this shuttle from the keel up, this time with a full crew and stickers. The new 1X1 quarter-round tiles were essential in preserving the shape of the nacelles. L-R: Kirk, Spock, McCoy, Scotty, Chekov, and Chapel. The size of the shuttle is hard to determine, as neither the large interior set or the smaller "full-size" prop match the stated 24 foot length. Maybe that refers to the interior length? I think I found a happy medium in the end. As before the hatch is greatly simplified but retains its distinctive shape. The model is totally swooshable with one hand. I couldn't close that unfortunate gap on the front, but I feel the larger viewing ports were worth it. It also gets rid of the annoying steps on slope bricks. Spock fiddles with repairs at the aft access hatch. The control panels up front. The aft compartment has deuterium tanks, extra hand phasers, and a toilet. The door doesn't slide but is easily positioned open or closed on a single stud. The full interior. The roof lifts off fairly easily and is connected by only two studs. About 550 pieces altogether. LDD file attached.
