REAPER - (WDL Thunder Tanks) BATTLETANX Series . The final word in combat, here is the REAPER! Based on the PlayStation 2 and driven by Gorda the Fat! . The Reaper is the final boss in WDL Thunder Tanks! When you first face him, the tank is in turret mode, as shown here. Quite lovely, here is Gorda the Fat!! Here is the screenshot of the Gameboy version. Gorda the Fat remains the same, but the tank is called Annihilator instead of Reaper. Definitely does not look like the annihilator but just as strong, or even worse! Here is the screenshot of the PS1 version. The loading screen shows the Reaper tank, but when you actually fight Gorda, he is driving an Annihilator tank (PlayStation version). I guess this is rushed programming! Poor gameplay picture from the PS2. Notice that the Reaper shrinks in size significantly right after its transformation from turret mode, to tank mode. Maybe a programing error? The vehicle in turret mode. It has side guns along with the main turret. The side guns are suppose to by dark grey, and not black. The turret could be a little thicker, but I like this piece so much that I had to utilize it. The stickers may look like amateur work, but believe me this was harder than I thought. Apparently, household printers do not print white ink, so my clear transparent printing paper was useless. So I ended up printing on white, and cutting shapes. That's why it doesn't look so great... Side guns retract, but not literally. I had to manually take them out since it wont fit inside the storage underneath the turret. Once the sides are retracted, just spin the turret, and the sides come up! This is done with technic gears inside the main body. For sure it takes a lot of interior space! Now the vehicle is in tank mode. This is more dangerous, because this tank has the special attack /abilities of the other tanks as well as the ability to hover like the dragonfly! Seven wheels shown, just like the game. Those little white stickers on the back of the cannon are tanks. It's possible that those are trophy marks to represent the number of kills?! ...and of course just a little consideration, this thing has tail lights. Otherwise, Outlaw will have to pull it over for a minor traffic violation!!! Gorda the Fat inside, but I need to change the minifigure to the one that suits him more. How about the sumo wrestler from the minifigure series 3! I can't believe it myself! How does Gorda fit in that confined space! Gorda will be back, but as a sumo wrestler, soon.... Now for the build... this was probably the most challenging and time consuming of all my Battletanx/Thunder Tanks. This tank was one of the first batches that I started to work on, and the last to finish. The stickers were a nightmare to put on, and I have no choice but to cover multiple bricks/pieces with the stickers. It has come a long way from this.....
