Spider-Gwen and Hobgoblin Showdown . Hobgoblin continues to attack offices and buildings to exact revenge on those who's death benefits his plan to get more influence in the crime syndicates of New York. However, he didn't expect Spider-Gwen to be on his tail to stop him. But will she be strong enough and fast enough? . Here's a nice overview of the whole Vig. You can almost see the KAAA-BOOOMMMM!!! that would accompany this in a comic... or not I don't see your imagination :P Another shot of the whole MOC, I was inspired by Deus Otiosus's smoke design for... well my Smoke design. So I couldn't tell if Hobgoblin in Focus or... Spider-woman in focus was a cooler shot, what do you think? Poor Bill just thought he could go take some money out of the bank and make a deposit, nice and easy you know head home and play Overwatch after a nice easy day... NOPE! I'm fairly happy with how the detail in the building worked out :) And a better look up top, I figured this was some office above the bank that a rich dude worked at. You know classic killing the rich guy find a loophole and boom, Hobgoblin gets all his money, something like that :P I don't know I just made up the story, but I like it Broken up roof from the big old boom Here's a close up of the explosion, I really wanted to play with smoke and fire and explosion effects in this vig, I build a lot of Marvel stuff so you know that's almost expected, so I figured I'd toy around you know? Is it smoke, or the burning remains of thousands of now hairless minifigures? We may never know... Boom baby boom! Oh wait people died ... uhhh moving on... One thing I learnt is that I need a heck of a lot of trans orange and yellow and red to do these explosions justice. To Bricklink! Oh check it out, posters for the latest New York events! And another side view cause... you know... lots of photos. Btw these are custom figures I bought online. I added a simple interior. Bank owner Bob realises the trip to Hawaii will have to wait since he'll have to pay the damage to his building... damn super Villains... That's right Bob means you! One more dynamic shot action shot Or make that two :P Really proud of that smoke, I think it turned out awesome. Overall I'm very pleased with my playing around with effects in this MOC, I learnt a lot :) And that's all folks! Fourth Wall Commentary: So here's another Marvel MOC from me :) This time a little smaller. I've had this Spider-Gwen fig for a while now and wanted to build something awesome with it. I tend to build way way too big so it was nice to do something small but still detailed. Now I don't read much Spider-Gwen, but I loved her in Spider-verse and The Clone Conspiracy. I know that her earth is of course different to 616 and thus a lot of her villains are different. I am not sure if she's fought a Hobgoblin equivalent yet but my thinking was since this is also a custom Hobgoblin (and thus slightly different to the official one) It's the usual Multiverse shenanigans of a slightly different take on a villain. So yeah #benlogic :D Hope you enjoyed. Up next will likely be some more Bionicles or another Marvel build... no spoilers for what they are though :P hehehe Couple final things: I have a Flickr now, take a look if you wish: Please donīt hesitate with any comments, questions or criticisms... Till Next Time See Ya~
