"Condor" class cruiser, 1:350, real bricks . The new version of my favorite ship - ASW-cruiser pr.1123. Now from real LEGO bricks! . LDD-version of the cruiser can be viewed here. The flagship of the Soviet Black Sea Fleet - the anti-submarine cruiser "Moscow". I have not built a LEGO model out of real bricks for a long time, so I ran into several difficulties. First, the lack of details of the right color. Therefore, we had to abandon the most common coloring of the deck - a combination of green and brown groundhog. I limited myself to the dark brown color of the deck. This variant of coloring was also found in photographs of a real cruiser. Another problem was the strength of the structure. Solutions that were suitable for virtual modeling proved to be unsuitable in real life)) A lot had to be processed, as a result the model turned out to be very strong and easily disassembled into separate blocks if necessary. The most difficult element (as it seemed to me initially) of building a cruiser model is its hull, which is difficult to make from bricks When creating a ship superstructure, I could not find anywhere a few details that I had previously used in LDD-model of the cruiser. As a result, the fire control radars had to be re-worked, and the radar for detecting low-altitude targets was done in the old version. But managed to apply several non-standard solutions, impossible in the LDD. Thanks to this, the twin 57-mm automatic cannons turned out better, and the Ka-25 anti-submarine helicopters finally received coaxial rotors! Also managed to find a successful solution for tractors)) The version with the underwater part of the hull has not been completed yet. I'm looking for the right parts for the propellers. The "Condors" were designed primarily as anti-submarine warfare (ASW) vessels, and her weapons and sensor suite was optimized against the nuclear submarine threat. "Condor" combined a cruiser's armament forward with a large helicopter deck aft. Multi-storey superstructure, combined with funnel and tower-like pyramidal fore-mast from lightweight AMG alloys, gave the ship an impressive and spectacular view. Variants of helicopters on the same scale as the cruiser: Ka-25, Mi-8 and Mi-24. Ka-25 in hangar. Specially for the distinguished BATOH rossi - option with transport-attack helicopters "Mi-24" )) Due to their size, the Mi-8, Mi-14 and Mi-24 helicopters did not fit into the cruiser hangar and were based on the deck. The underwater part of the hull is made easily removable. Joint photo with 1:700 scale build. The model of the ship is constantly being finalized, I hope you liked it! ))
