Hovercraft . Still technically a WIP, but I was itching to try out a new lens...:P . Well, here's something different!! The only reason that I built this is because I had an idea for the outer inflatable ring the 2x2 round plates around a flexible hose, which I haven't seen after searching on MOCpages or Flickr... This model is pretty half baked; very bare, I haven't finished the nose yet and I haven't finished the parts under and behind the engine...maybe if I gather the energy I'll make a Bricklink order :P I also did some new stuff with the pictures: I used the same camera (Nikon D80) but I used a fixed 50mm lens that's really good in lots of light; I personally like these images a lot better than the ones I've taken of other models using the Tamron 17-50mm lens. I also didn't bother using a background...I don't think it made much of a difference anyway :P Here are the pictures! :D The ring is actually quite smooth, considering that the little sharp things on the plates have the ability to sever a human hand...:P I decided against using the Lego fan part 'cause it can only go into a pin hole...and it's too small...and it's not violent enough :D I dunno what the gold bar is for. It just makes it that much more...hovercraft-y...? Happy face! Note the V4 engine, straight out of the Porsche 919. Because America!! I haven't finish the bottom part below the engine yet. Because I'm lazy! Proof that I'm not lying and there is a flexible hose! In case you had reason to disbelieve me. Colors!! Thanks for viewing!! Please take the time to rate and comment any suggestions, thanks :D P.S. Better pictures on Flickr: https://www.flickr.com/photos/131475675@N08/ Be sure to check 'em out :D
