A wine glass - 2019 TEPBC FINAL round
Here it is! Yet another RL-scaled household item I made during these holidays. Well considering all sizes of other (real) wine glasses this one is indeed very little.
About this creation
A month ago when I was gathering some pieces for my next minifig-scaled lego car project I found a transparent clear bulged cylinder piece from my old 4347 x-pod lego set.
So its interesting look inspired me to make a new MOC for my final TEPBC entry.
All the pieces except the biggest one were ordered from BL in 2 separate orders and if youíre asking about their price it mainly depends on their rarity on BL, I mean availability, from piece to piece ofc.
To pay a fortune was a smaller problem than giving up the whole project.
Well, you know, the crystal ones are expensive as well!

Do you guess what are these upside down studs supposed to be? And that deformation in the middle?

And that's it!
Take care and have a great 2020!

Quoting Oliver Becker I would have used the medium-big disc for the bottom because of the stability of (a filled) wine glas... ;) Very unique idea, North!
Thanks!

Quoting MCLegoboy ! I've never seen what one of those pods looks like outside of the set images. I've got the caps from the Hoth Base from 2007, but never seen the actual pod part. Pretty neat looking part. And nice use of old flex tube that probably doesn't flex much anymore.
Thanks! Yeah, itís pretty much elastic so it can be slightly bent if stressed quite hard.

Quoting Luuk S Impressive! Looks good! I'm wondering about the tube though, does it improve stability or is it just to have 8 pieces rather than 7?
Thanks! Well yes, itís about stability. I was a little bit under pressure when I realized that 8 x 8 and 3 x 3 dish piece couldnít be fixed together with other pieces after receiving my BL order about 2 weeks ago. The solution was to get something that is wide enough to hold those unfixed pieces, a 4mm pneumatic 3L trans-clear tube. So happy I was when I oredered it from a local BL store around Christmas time :).
