Hello all and welcome to my latest creation. I actually built this one a few weeks back but haven't had good lighting for taking photos since then! This build is based off of a Sable road block in the Spider-Man PS4 game. I got the game for Christmas last year and absolutely loved playing it, achieving 100% completion. I knew that I wanted to build something from it but I started work on my Imperial Base at about that time so didn't get round to it until now. I also got the DLC reasonably recently so that sparked this MOC off as well (although I still haven't done everything in that as I have been playing Skyrim). Anyway, I'm pretty pleased with this build, although it isn't very complex, and I like all of the details I put in. I feel like I have captured an accurate representation of the New York in the game. Enjoy!
About this creation
An overview of the MOC.
The Sable agents. I'm really pleased with my minifigures for these. I always thought that the patrol trooper torsos looked like the Sable agents, hence why I used them! The weapons are pretty accurate to the game too.
Spider-Man! I wasn't originally intending to put him in this pose but when it came to putting the figs on it seemed perfect. Especially seeing as it mimics one of the dodges in the game. I'm really happy with how the web effect turned out too.
I wish that I could use a fig of the Advanced Suit from the game although using this one isn't too bad as you can wear the Homecoming suit in the game. Annoyingly, the Advanced Suit has just been revealed as one of the San Diego 2019 Comic-con exclusives. Although it looks awesome, this means that it will likely never be in a set and so I doubt I'll ever get one!
A broken lamppost.
An intact lamppost. I'm really pleased with how this turned out, especially the "walk, don't walk" signs. Those tiles work pretty well for that I think (out of the corner of your eye at least!) I wasn't intending to use that piece at the top of the lamppost but I tried it and thought that it was the best design that I had tried yet, so I stuck with it.
The Sable road block thing. I'm really pleased with how this came out and think that it is pretty accurate to the ones in-game. It took me a while to come up with this design due to all the weird angles of pieces on it.
Some artistic shots. I'm really pleased with all of these.
Well that's all so I really hope you liked it. This didn't really turn out anything like I had originally intended it to be! I had planned to have it on the grass originally and wanted to make different boxes and things from the game than the ones I ended up making. Anyway, I hope you liked it. If you did, please leave a comment!
