American Civil War MOC
About this creation
Hey everyone! This is the third installment of my war history MOC series. I apologize that I didn't post it over the weekend like I planned to, but I ended up being much busier than I had expected. Anyway, this MOC is another 24x24 stud build, and this time it displays a skirmish during the American Civil War. This is the first of several MOCs in this series to have a partially cut off structure. I do that so that I have room for other details, and so that it has the appearance of a cross-section, where you can see the interior. On most other MOCs, the building(s) will be larger, but since this is just a 24x24 I had to make it pretty small. Anyway, on to the pictures:

This is the front of the MOC. You can see the Union and Confederate troops fighting with their bayonets on the road, along with the Union officer emerging from the house in the background. in the foreground is the field of crops. Based on their lack of color, the season is most likely late fall.

On the left side of the MOC, you can see the skunk emerging from the gap in the fence that encloses the field. You can see a side view of the Union-occupied house and of the skirmish itself, as well as the barrels on the side of the house that most likely contain some type of supplies for the Union troops.

The right side of the MOC is pictured here. You can see the Union officer from the side, along with the soldiers with bayonets and the Confederate who has fallen alongside the road.

Here, at the back of the MOC, you can see the interior of the front room of the house, along with the officer who is walking out the front door. The skunk's head poking out of the gap in the fence is also visible in the background.

That's all for this one! I will keep doing my best to post these weekly, but as you can tell some of them will be a couple days off.

Hope you like it! Please tell me what you think in the comments!

Quoting AxuBuilder _ Good job as always! I think the placement of the house, the field and the barrels is really well-thought-out and the small fight scene in the middle brings everything together. I'm on my way to see the next part, see you there! :)
Thanks! I appreciate it! :D

Quoting Promar Quadratus Ooh, this build has got to be my favorite of this series of yours, though tied, perhaps, with your WWII French creation. I love the tone that you've set with your color choices and the serious action going on with the minifigs engaging in hand-to-hand combat. Thanks for bringing history to life! God bless, ~Promar~
Thank you very much, Promar! It's my pleasure. :D

Quoting Wolf Pack Another great build! The path looks great, the farm area uses a building technique that I've seen before but always looks nice, and what's visible the house looks good. The only thing I think could be fixed is adding some 1x1 tiles around the landscape, but that's just a small thing. Great work!
Thanks! Yeah, this was one of the last ones I built so I was running really low on the smaller plates for details. Beginning with some of the WWI MOCs, they will get much more detailed.
