A fallen Toa for round two of Chen's First Annual Dark Hunter Contest. As before, the intro is written from the Shadowed One's perspective.
About this creation
The Toa of Iron I call Ironclad was a Toa from a far away island, who came to join my organization through some rather interesting means. He fought my forces during the Toa-Dark Hunter War, putting his powers to use against my Hunters. Yet allies can come from the most unexpected places.
Ironclad was a fearsome warrior, yet he broke the most important aspect of the Toa Code. He killed. Multiple times. When my forces were forced to retreat from Metru Nui, the leader of the Toa exiled him, along with the late Nidhiki. Angery and vengeful, Ironclad decided to join the Dark Hunters in a dark twist of irony. Having tamed a small, birdlike rahi, Ironclad and his pet integrated into my forces. Ironclad prefers to face off against Toa, always hoping to hunt down his former allies.
Powers: Ironclad has the usual powers of a Toa, though he excels at using his elemental manipulation in combat. He can rip an opponent's armor to shreds, break a weapon in two and shatter a Kanohi with ease. Upon joining my organization, we agreed that his original Toa Tools and Kanohi were a bit lacking. We replaced his right arm with a Zamor Sphere Cannon, which fires spheres that temporarily nullify the target's powers while also hurling the enemy to the ground. His Kanohi was swapped for a Jutlin, the Mask of Corruption. Ironclad also has a connection with his pet, and seems to be able to see through its eyes.
Status: Active. Ironclad and his pet prefer to be constantly out on assignments, and I am happy to oblige. I have recently heard rumors that, thanks to his elemental powers, the Brotherhood of Makuta wishes to assassinate my Toa. As he is extremely effective at his job, I would hate to lose him. I intend to make sure that he remains among the living.
Full body. He's one of my favorite MOCs. I chose a Jutlin as his Kanohi because I noticed that the skull mask looks a bit like the shapeshifted Jutlin, with the little prongs around the mouth area matching Antroz' teeth/fins.
Torso, front. I think the G2 BIONICLE armor fits the industrial theme.
Torso, side. It's built around a Piraka torso.
Torso, back. It's basically just a Bohrok-Kal shield with a pipe over it.
Back again. Not sure why I took two pictures.
The Zamor Sphere Cannon, which was built a few days before I decided on the Toa's element. If you've ever played the DS version of BIONICLE: Heroes, you might recognize the inspiration for this. The Earth weapon looked vaguely similar, and memories of it led to the creation of the cannon.
Front of the cannon. It originally had an orange Zamor, but blue fit better with "Ironclad"'s color scheme.
Normal arm. Knight's Kingdom II maces make good armor.
Legs, front. I really like those mace pieces.
Leg, back. He has the same little turbines as on his arms.
His pet "bird... thing... creature" (as I described it to a friend).
"Ironclad" and "Desolator," my two Dark Hunters.
I made a few modifications and upgrades to his design. Nothing major, just some aesthetics.
Ditto, but closer.
Waist. First part of the upgrades.
Feet. The spikes replaced the Technic pieces on the old version.
Exceptional work! I really like Ironclad's design, especially his Zamor sphere cannon. And as for his "bird", I was surprised to see one of the head pieces for the Bionicle minifigures, and I think it works pretty well. His backstory is quite impressive as well. Overall, this is an amazing entry!
