The R-Series is Industrial Automaton's most successful range of consumer-market astromechs. The versatile droids have found there place in the Galaxy in the series of Governments, Rebels, traders, farmers, you name it they have found use for the droids of the R-series.
The heads have been hand painted with acrylic modeling paint, and the bodies have printed decals that I made.
Quoting DNA Ranz
How did you make R4 A22. Did you custom paint the head of the droid and use the body of another droid. Also, is the Droid R4 A22 for sale. Can you please respond via e-mail. Thank you.
Hi thanks for your comments. I painted the heads and the bodies have decals that I made using Photoshop.
SWEET!!! These are the best astro droids I've ever seen!! you paint the heads verry nicely, and the decals are also perfect! I'd give you ten smilleys if I could! Also check out my version two of Bacara.
The true heros of Star Wars. The real reason Lucasfilm has been ignoring the Sith Era is because it predated the invention of the astromech. You did a great job representing the various R unit models, escpescially the oft ignored R6. I also have to compliment you (as usual) on the lovely backgrounds you design for your characters and vehicles. Thanks for the reviews by the way.
Well, I'm not into decals and customization, or Star Wars for that matter, so why am I here giving this a five smiley review? Because rather than going the quick route and photographing each droid against a plain background, you have built elaborate, detailed scenes for them to go in, giving each one that much more of its own personality. THAT is great presentation.
