RSI Constellation Aquila from Star Citizen (RobertsSpaceIndustries. Inc.)
About this creation
When you think handsome bounty hunter making his own way in a galaxy of enemies, you think the Constellation. The Constellation, a multi-person freighter, is the most popular ship in RSI’s current production array. The Constellation Aquila is the exploration variant of the Constellation Series. It features a redesigned round cockpit for maximum visibility and advanced sensors.
I have always love the design of this variant. Never started on the actual ship ‘cause … well because the engine blocks scared me away. I decided to have fun with it after my astero.
SO here are the first problem i encounter. The front fins move back n’ forth with 4 flaps that open. so far i can get that motion.
The engine blocks (2 sets of 2) on the other end… Well it seems that the top ones extend and rotate. (took a while and lots of coffees to get an working idea) the lower ones on the other end seem to advance when landing. Not sure about that so I’ll be bothering the Star Citizen community on that later :)
Cockpit area. i have to find a way to remove both clear windows and the top easily yet sturdy. I followed the design that i could find on a sub.
With the struts (apparently that is a in-joke. idk)
Finally this is the elevator system. tried to have it in two parts like the game
I am basing some proportions on other peoples models (small scale ones) so if those 3 pieces in the LDD file are not mine lol. As always please comment and point out any trouble with the structure or functions that i might have missed it in the original ship
