This MOC the first in a line of designs that are either based on real-life cars, designs from Manga & Anime "Speed Racer" or original vehicles from the french "Michel Vaillant" comic book series.
About this creation
This car is partly a tribute to the MOCs of C. Dongle, as photos of his work were a small part of what inspired me to bust out of my "Dark Ages", embrace being an AFOL and start sharing my creations online. It's also my take on making a car that could be in the background of any given episode or chapter of Speed Racer, which is partly a testament to being taken aback at Clayton Marchetti's fantastic line of Speed Racer MOCs .

While the color scheme and scale are about the same as a particular C. Dongle MOC, the design is of course from yours truly. I have to admit that with all the specialized brackets and curved pieces out there nowadays, part of me never thought that one could pack so much detail in such a small-scale design.

The current photos were all created using Stud.io 2.0's render program, as the parts I've ordered to build this beast in real life have not arrived as I type this up. I intend to update this page with actual photos of this car as well as show off the Minifig I had in mind to drive this contraption.

As always, comment, rate and review.

Quoting Clayton Marchetti Wow! Thatís a great looking car! Welcome back from your dark ages. Doesnít it feel good. I love those fenders and chisel front. Very racer X. I like the use of the door piece to cover the rear tire, clever. Magnificent job hope to see more.
Thanks. I seem to be drawn towards using unusual pieces to create the shapes I want my MOCs to have. Then again, working in such a small scale requires one to be fairly creative in using parts... I'm just happy that there's now an axle piece that allows for more intricate designs while still being able to make relatively sturdy MOCs in this size, because the old axle piece required a lot of planning to work around.
