"I know a bank where the wild thyme blows, Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows, Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine: There sleeps Titania sometime of the night, Lull’d in these flowers with dances and delight"
About this creation

No it's not Marvel or Star Wars or Bionicle, it is indeed a bit of a departure from what you normally see from me... Yay!

I've debated doing a small series of fairy and flower MOC's actually, might be fun

I've got a lot of exciting YouTube projects on the way soon by the way. I won't say what they are cause hype and spoilers, but there will be some stop motion stuff

I've been wanting to use the wing pieces on a MOC for a while now, I'm glad I could fit them on something cool like this

So when you compare this to the sort of version V1 that I posted ages ago, there has been some pretty decent changes

I displayed this at Bricktober 2018 in Perth, lots of kids loved it, but funnily enough most of the girls liked the AT-ACT standing next to it just as much haha

I kinda left it up in the air as to whether or not this is a big flower with a big fairy or an average sized flower with a tiny fairy. I'll leave that up to you to decide ;)

I saw the news about LEGO winning the legal case with Lepin, that's really great news!

So the recent news with Flickr deciding to make you pay for more then 1000 photos... eh it is what it is, but TBH I might just go ahead and pay, I really enjoy cataloguing my photos on Flickr and I don't really want to stop. That and paying gives you adobe Creative Cloud discounts. Holla!

While this and the last version took notes from A Midsummer Nights Dream, my favourite Shakespeare play is Macbeth, 2nd is probably Midsummers, then RandJ and Merchant of Venice

Ohhh I could build a Macbeth MOC... I like this idea

I reallllyyy want to play the new Pokémon Let's Go, but man a Switch is a lot of money.

All these big plants and things makes me want to build a Felucia MOC, that's for sure up there in the list of planets I want to make dioramas of

Huh... a lot harder to chat like I normally do on a none Star Wars/Marvel diorama :P I never realised how much there is to discuss on those topics when I make MOC's that fit into them

Speaking of Marvel, I do hope those Avengers 4 trailer rumors are true, and that we'll be getting it this month.

Also I personally believe the movie will NOT be called Avengers Annihilation. Prove me wrong but it seems wrong to call the movie that when Annihilation is it's own separate comic/story. Seems like there are better options tbh.

Unless Annihilus is in the Quantum Realm and they'll tie aspects of the Annihilation comic into this... But it seems odd to introduce a new villain... I don't know still not sold on that title

I prefer 'The Last Avenger' as the title for Avengers 4. I think that be cool

That said I'm sure it's something we're not even thinking about, or have guessed

Well look at that, I guess I can still talk Marvel on a none SW/Marvel post :P

Also I'm really enjoying Star Wars Resistance. NO SPOILERS HERE, but the episode was really cool, lots of fun stuff happening now

I'm also loving the main characters and the background characters too.

So TBH I have no idea, is the animation style in Resistance cheaper then that of Rebels and CW? It seems that every episode is introducing a different background character each episode, and I know Dave Filoni always wished he could have more races and unique characters in the backgrounds of CW and Rebels. So I assume this is cheaper and makes that sort of thing easier?

And I may have only watched... is it 4 or 5 episodes? That first episode being a two in one has me confused, but that said in so few episodes I'm already loving the depth it's adding to the sequel triology

I need to read the Aftermath Triology now though, I feel that'll make things even better

I still gotta catch up on the Thrawn books, both 1 and 2 though

At the moment I'm reading 'From a Certain Point of View' Oooohhh it's a fun book! Would recommend/10

Anyway Fairies!

Fourth Wall Commentary:
So this MOC is actually a revamp of an older MOC of mine. This one - The original was inspired by A Midsummer Night's Dream, and this one was too, to a degree, that and a lot of the stuff that Letranger Absurde/vitreolum makes is incredible, and I was inspired to do something in a similar vein.

Couple final things:

I have a Flickr, take a look if you wish:

Now we know, where all the flowers have gone... ;) Beautiful and, yes, powerful MOC, Ben! And the fay seems to like the power of a peaceful kind.

Had a girlfriend like that once. The big leaves are absolutely spectacular, but that dislocated knee is jarring. Would seem to be an easy fix.

-||- Overall, I like ~Breathless~ better than ~Speechless~. In particular, you made a good choice by NOT giving eyes to the fairy in ~Breathless~. -||- Do you think the Nintendo Switch is expensive? Have you considered how much it would cost for someone to buy all the Lego bricks you used in this model?

Very, very well done! I like the use of colors, the shaping of the fairy and the leaves below best. I agree with Caleb that her left leg looks off (I'd have replaced that double curved slope with a 1x4 tile) but that's just nitpicking on such a marvelous work of art.. Love her dress too. (edit: you worry about buying a Switch but are able to build ... this?! sounds like you're a true FOL ;-) )

Beautiful build. Reminds me a lot of Retinence's recent work. Excellent bulb and posing.

Excellent build, the leaves look amazing and while the rose does have a more or less square shape, it is very recognizable. The figure looks nice too, though one of her legs looks like it's bent just shy of being broken on a human and thus looks very uncomfortable. lol Well done overall.

Quoting MCLegoboy !
Ah that's a shame. I did read the email though, so haha! I agree with your point about having the rose be the same swoopy design, I like that idae a lot. I may well do version 1.5 in time. But TBH I'm more keen to make a series of other fairies first. I'll toy with the dresses on those future ones though, cause I also agree with some of your points on that.... oh and thanks everyone!

The way you built the leaves is really cool! The flower also looks very nice, and I appreciate the fairy (I presume titainia?) as well.

Those big plant leaves are superb, and it's great to see stuff of this quality still getting occasionally posted to MOCpages. Top 100 material :) just a pity there's not enough users left on here to give it the number of likes it would have got 5 years ago.

This is truly beautiful. Also, I know what you mean by a switch is a lot of money, I wish I had enough for Smash: ultimate.
