This time something new from me with two wheels only :o) Was thinking about how to do it many months and then I found a very nice instruction for a police motorcycle on YT from City of Brick Angleles (www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJvbbgHx48I) and decided to build it. But after completion I decided to redesign it completely and here is the result. A (i think) pretty nice Lego version of the NYPD Harley Davidson. It's not perfect but I'm happy with the result.
Maybe it has something to do with tradition, American made, durability? I know that CHP is using BMW's too. Maybe you'll get some answers here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gk7_1KsgOMk Thank you very much for your nice comment my good friend. Always a pleasure reading from you and glad you like my version of the HD motorcycle with all it's details. Maybe I'll add more chrome in the future. Btw, changed the front fender. Now it's made of a white Battle Droid arm with the white tile attached to it. Due to the curvature it looks more like a fender :)
Don't know why, but I get a kick out of the functioning kickstand. Nice detail for scale everywhere, my friend. Wonder why Harleys are so popular with police in the US? Seems like lighter modified sport or dual-purpose bikes would serve them better. The Denver police use dual-purpose BMWs.
First were sending the same back to you and Jill. We love you very much guys! It's great to know such wonderful people like you :) Hugs, greets and much love back to you both from us. Take care and be safe as well. Thank you so much for this awesome compliment. Highly appreciate every single word from you my brother. Yeah really miss the activity here. Was such a great time. But like I told in the description, had lots of help building this nice bike. Without the YT instruction I maybe never would have tried it out.
Scale, Shaping, Design, Detail, Decals, Research, and flawless excellence of execution. Just another day in the Lego life of Sven. I truly wish the user base of Mocpages and the LFC was as large and active as it once was years ago. You have not built a single creation that does not deserve 100+ likes, And if I had my way ALL of your creations would have 100+ likes. BOAJDTAP. HUGS greets and much love to Sven and Juila from Jill and Jimmie in NC. Take care and be safe.
Here is the instruction for the bike I tried first: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJvbbgHx48I My version is based on it but I made tons of changes to get my own design. Hope it will help you a bit. Sadly I don't have any instructions or a ldd file of my version. Thanks so much for your really nice comment my friend!
Front wheel and bike connected? No problem, it's pretty simple. Clips connected to the 1x1 brick with studs on all sides, the 4l bar connected to the clips, the binoculars connected to the bars and one round plate into each binocular for holding the wheel. Hope you understand my description. Don't have a instruction in pics. Thank you very very much for your really kind comment :)
Thank you very much for your very nice comment Max :) Glad you like it. Sadly I don't have any instructions for you but there are some great builders out there where I got the inspiration from. Calin on Flickr for example.
