French cruisers of the period of the middle-end of the cold war. 1:700 scale. Jeanne d'Arc and Colbert. Built for future composition.
About this creation

Cruiser C611 "Colbert" is designed to protect of French naval forces from air attack.

Initially, the cruiser was built as a pure gunship. However, in the early 1970s, after the reduction of plans for building destroyers "Suffren", "Colbert" was seriously upgraded.

On the ship installed SAM "Masurka", ASM "Exocet", obsolete 127 mm artillery systems were replaced with the latest 100 mm guns.

Full hull model

Compare with 1:350 scale build.

Cruiser often attracted to the air defense aircraft carrier "Clemenceau".

My model is built in the scale of 1:700, for the construction took 244 bricks (189 - above waterline).

Cruiser R97 "Jeanne d'Arc" is designed to find and destroy submarines using helicopters anti-submarine squadron in conjunction with other anti-submarine ships. Cruiser-helicopter can also be used as a training or landing. Despite the fact that the cruiser did not have outstanding performance, he was a decent, reliable vehicle and almost 50 years in the service of the French Navy.

Cruiser armed with 6 ASM "Exocet" launchers. For self-defense ship was armed with a battery of excellent automated 100-mm guns, "Mle-53".

In wartime, the main ship weapons are 8 anti-submarine helicopters "Lynx" or landing "Super Puma" and "Super Frelon". Dimensions of the flight deck of the cruiser provides simultaneous rise of two heavy helicopters.

The cruiser escorted by the frigate Latouche-Tréville.

Full hull version. My model is built in the scale of 1:700, for the construction took 231 bricks (184 - above waterline).

Compare with 1:350 scale model.

Cruisers "Colbert" (AAW) and "Jeanne d'Arc" (ASW) perfectly complement each other.

Quoting Chris Irwin Great work. I used to make plastic kit 1/700 scale scale warships. I’ve not seen the Lego equivalents, very impressive.
Thank You, Chris! Look at the page of this Builder- http://www.moc-pages.com/home.php/71178 I learned a lot from him!

Quoting BATOH rossi fantastic work, especially with regard to the superstructures of the "Colbert"!
Thank You! With "Colbert" have long to bother. He always turned out too high, there was no necessary grace. Had to sacrifice the accuracy of the aft, but in General the look of the ship was similar to the original.
