Aircraft carrier "Clemenceau", 1:700 scale.
Famous french aircraft carrier "Clemenceau". LDD-version, 1: 700 scale.
About this creation

The Clemenceau-class aircraft carriers are a pair of aircraft carriers which served in the French Navy from 1961 until 2000. The Clemenceau class was France's first successful aircraft carrier design after World War II and was the backbone of the French Fleet for the duration of its forty years of service. More information about this ship can be found on the page 1:350 scale build.

In such a small scale it was difficult to reproduce the layout of the deck, so that it looked beautiful. So I left her dark gray. The plane is also too big, but I sacrificed the scale to preserve the appearance :)

A pair of F-8FN "Crusader" deck fighters makes a flight around the aircraft carrier.

Full hull version.

The aircraft carrier escorted by the frigate Cassard.

Joint photo with 1:350 scale build.

For the construction of the model in scale 1:700 took only less than 350 bricks (447 for full hull version).
I hope You liked this ship! :)

Quoting Jeremy McCreary A handsome carrier in real life and in your hands as well, Seaman! I know that you're a stickler for scale, as I was with my model of the Mars rover Curiosity. But a judicious departure from scale can really make a model pop -- as your planes and flag do here. That, in part, is what makes caricature so compelling.
Thank You, Jeremy! You're right, I often sacrifice the accuracy of the scale model in favor of expressiveness and playability.

Quoting BATOH rossi oook ... now you have to do it in 1: 1400 scale! joking aside, always fantastic work!
1:1400? I was forced to do in DA3! ))) Thank you for your appreciation, my friend!

Quoting Max P. Excellent job on this. Great shape and proportions, look very accurate as always ;) I also like this little plane onboard.
Thank You, Max! I made a version with a few planes on deck, but they didn't look at all. Too unrealistic. That's why I only left one.

Quoting Tom's MOCs At 1:700, one might expect the model the profile to be quite 'lumpy', but once again you have created a model that is very eye-pleasing in colors and shape. You remarked about the over-sized plane sitting on deck - I was going to say, that French flag flying off the stern would be just enormous at full scale!
Yeah! The flag usually very decorated model. So I made it visible on thumbnail :) Thank You, Tom!
