"A day that will live in infamy," is a quote that describes 7/7/16. And if you replace "day" with "user," you have a quote that describes me. You know the adequate warnings.
About this creation
Today...just today, and time in general. This corrupt world only sees me as a criminal, a warmonger...and they’re right. I stared at the window, watching the small raindrops hit the glass and slowly fall back to the ground below. The way they fell was almost like a dance, a cycle of birth and rebirth. One, then two. One, then two. So it continued.
No one seems to appreciate the rain. It comes and goes like everything else, but without it, we’d all disappear. But when it comes back, we forget why it was important in the first place. Kinda sad, now that I think of it. This world forgets everyone eventually…
But will they forget me? After all, I’ve made a decent dent in the galaxy. I’m not just an ordinary bystander, right? No, my memory will just be written into the index of a history book. Nobody will care, nobody cares even now.
Then, I heard the faint knock of a hand against my door. As it opened, I turned around to see a familiar face. Riley…
“Hey,” Riley said, a faint smile on her face. Likely out of pity. She slowly walked over to me, silently closing the door behind her.
“Hey…” I replied, turning back to the window. Why is she even here? I mean...I want her here. But she shouldn’t be dealing with someone like me…
“You mind if I take a seat?” she asked, gesturing besides me. Of course I don’t mind, but wouldn’t it be better if I said yes? I know I shouldn’t...I’m just a bother, anyways. But I need...something. I need her.
“N-No, you can sit…” I answered, shifting left to make room for her. I crossed my arms, straining to even look at her. I hate this…
“So...what are you doing?” Riley asked, turning her head to me. I noticed she was in a meditative posture, must be her natural stance at this point. Heh, maybe if I ever did anything, that’d be my default too.
“Oh...nothing, just watching the rain,” I replied, turning to the window. Riley looked awkward, like she was avoiding something. She looked down at her hands before turning back to me.
“Well...I got a new hand. One of the perks of being a grey jedi...heh,” she stated. Her eyes darted around the room. I wasn’t really paying attention, my thoughts were fogging my mind with dark clouds of emotion.
“Riley...what do you think’ll happen?” I asked blankly, my eyes fixated on the ground beneath me. I rested my chin on my knees. Riley turned inquisitively, looking at me.
“Hm? What do you mean?” she asked softly.
“Us. The BRM, the ME, the galaxy...we’ll be forgotten, won’t we?” I rambled to her, tears slightly welling in my eyes. I tightened my grip around my knees, hugging them for support.
“I wouldn’t worry about that,” she answered, slightly smiling as her eyes darted away. I looked back up at her, staring at her face.
“Why not? I mean, nobody cares anyways. Everyone’s...terrible. I hate them all. Everything’s so confusing, I-I don’t know how to feel. I just wish that...I...wasn’t here right now…”
Her smile disappeared, turning into a worryful glare. She stared blankly at the floor before returning her eyes to me.
“Well...think of it like this, then. The rain outside, it starts as a lake, or a sea, or an ocean. It flies into the sky, reaching the stars. Then it falls back down to where it came from. It’s a cycle, you know? Birth, rebirth, rise, fall. Kind of poetic. Just as the BRM rose, it will fall soon enough. And yes, some day the ME will fall to some rising power. But then, that power will fall too. There’s no reason to get upset about the way the galaxy works, Alex. And who knows, you might not have even risen yet. Your full potential might not have been realized. But there’s no strife to be had if you have. You just have to work through it and rise against the will of the world.”
Riley comforted me with only her words, staring into my broken soul and melding it with the soft touch of her heart. I looked at her, our eyes dancing together like the cycle outside.
“But you know...I...I’ve always had a fondness for you,” Riley followed up, darting her eyes around the room. I chuckled lightly.
“I know,” I replied with a smile. She hesitantly returned her sight to me, lowering her guard. She lightly rested her hand on the floor, not knowing what to do.
I rested my hand on top.

Quoting Wolf Pack I was on the gallery.
Alrighty. So you recognize Sand, former leader of SWRP. He left because of the original Raindrops. I'm assuming you can tell why. Ever since then, it's been a tradition to repost it and edit it to make it significantly better (the original was trash and even I know it xD). But since it made such a fuss (and Krayt didn't consent to his character being used by me), the RP is technically invalid.

Quoting Wolf Pack I don't understand this at all...
Long story. If you were on the gallery I could probably explain it, but if not it'd be pretty hard.

Quoting Jedi Master0310 Just a reminder of the fact that this isn't canon, nor will it be at any point in the future. I will leave it here, though, as it is a major part of SWRP history. And I will also add that Mac's writing has progressed a lot since the original. This one is very well written, Mav. Even though I've never appreciated the use of my characters for the progression of others' without my permission, this new Raindrops is very well written. Bravo
Yeah, I understood most would remember that. xD And thanks for the compliment.

Quoting Black_Wind 8319 That, was actually a very well done edit of the original "Raindrops." Your powers have grown. And I like the theme of forgotten, of loss. It really fits. Also, "And yes, some day the ME will fall to some rising power. But then, that power will fall too." Whaaaaat????? Who was that? That NEVER happened....
