So, this is...unexpected. I have returned, for a little bit any way. I'm not sure if I'll start properly uploading again, but I contribute to conversations, so I figure the least I can do is upload something once in a while.
So, without further ado, here's my pet project from the past few weeks or so: The Bat-plane/carrier.
About this creation
So, this is the whole build. It's 38 studs wide and I'll estimate over 50 long. I've actually been working on this for a while, just over on Flickr. For inspiration, I used Zach Sweigarts 'Thunderbird', which he built for DA3. I pretty much got the nose, engines, and general shape, but it's fair to say i couldn't have done it without his original build.
These are the wings. They're surprisingly light despite their size. Obviously they've been dieting. Or they're just completely hollow, spare the odd brick with studs on both sides to connect the top and bottom. They've also got cannons on each wingtip. They weren't really necessary, I just wanted something to fill in the gap.
So here are the afore mentioned wingtip cannons. I quite like the pod look I used on my Batman beyond batmobile a while back. I was originally going to have 'pop' out guns, like on that, but I decided against it.
Here's a view of the back. Not too fancy. Or pretty either. Beneath this bit is a ramp, which provides the sole point of access.
And to finish us off, here's the cockpit. The whole interior is a little cramped, only really able to fit two pilots and around 2-3 passengers, standing up of course.
So, that's your lot for now. I'm not really sure when I'll next upload here, as I'm a Flickr guy now (Here's a link ) There's better photos on there too. Nothing personal, it just works better and doesn't crash all the time. And there's better picture quality.
THAT SHIP IS AWESOOOOOME!!!!!
IF YOU LIKE BATMAN AND ALL THAT STUFF YOU COULD CHECK OUT MY BATMOBILE I'D REALLY LIKE SOME TIPS TO ENHANCE MY BUILDING SKILL. YOU ARE A GREAT BUILDER AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT YOU COME UP WITH IN THE FUTURE.
