At 09:03 AM, Jakelands Bravest were dispatched to 575 Railroad Ave for a working fire at Dutchman Lumber. When Engine 15 arrived on scene, they found heavy smoke venting from the structure. A water supply was quickly established and multiple hoses were stretched. As flames intensified, the truss roof collapsed shooting flames into the sky. A General Alarm assignment would be needed bringing in all Jakeland FD units to the scene including the reserve engine and ladder. A 5th Alarm would be struck which would bring Rochelle Heights Engine 831 and Liberty County Truck 37 to the scene to assist. Luckily the store had just opened so no customers were in the store at the time. All employees were able to escape unharmed. No firefighters were injured at this incident. The cause of the fire was due to a malfunction at the propane tank filling station. Mutual Aid from Westbrick, Liberty County, Rochelle Heights, St Lego, Lego Twp, Riverwoods, Portage, North Lereado County, Lego Regional, Brick Borough and Buena Vista responded into the scene to help and covered empty firehouses across the city.
Ahh that's pretty cool that you had some of his rigs. Too bad that rain interrupted your work. I'm still thinking about doing a FDNY TSU unit but I'm struggling a bit with the design of the International 7500 cab design where the big wheels fit.
Quoting Sven ;o)
Hey Matt, you did it again. A great lookin incident with lots of nice details and edits. Always a joy watching your rigs in action. What about R3? Seems that this one comes from Nathan L.
Yes, R3 is from Nathan. I have been "babysitting" some of his trucks. Before I send them back, I wanted to do a big incident. I would have liked to taken more pics and added more trucks, but unfortunately it started to rain. Thank you for the comment! I look forward to what you come up with next!
