Standing over 10 feet tall and using an estimated 30,000 pieces this is my custom LEGO Saturn v moon rocket. I spent over 7 months building this monstrosity and i t was well worth it. This rocket is built to minifigure scale and is over 3 times the height of the official LEGO Saturn V set.
If you want a more detailed tour of this there is a full video on my YouTube channel called BigPlanes.
About this creation
This picture shows side by side how accurate my model is.
From a little bit of a higher angle you can see how the command module and the service module connect to the white room.
This model stands over 10 feet tall and has 16 floors on the tower.
This is one of my favorite angles because it shows off how large the model is. We can thank the drones for shots like this.
Those large pipes running up the side of the tower were a must for me because they add the necessary contrast of the light grey.
From this angle you can see all 16 floors of the tower. If you were wondering this model does come apart into separate parts in order to transport it.
The crane can rotate a full 360 degrees in order to get out of the way of the rocket before launch.
This picture clearly shows how the command and service module connect to the Apollo white room before launch and how the rocket attaches to the tower before liftoff.
