Greetings yet again! I have another armored and armed vehicle to share with you all today! It's six-wheeled, rugged, ready for battle, and has a visually pleasing grey-based color scheme. Yay. Also, the missiles are green. They're kinda old, and some genius decided copper would look great on 'em way back when, so here we are. Green missiles. Anyway, without further ado, the pictures:
Here's the front. I was annoyed I couldn't work any grill in here, but eh. It's battery powered anyway, and I think the lights look okay. Al was kind enough to join us today; he'll be here mostly to provide a sense of scale.
Here's the side. No greebles, which I'm also annoyed about, but hey, you have to work with what ya got. Also, yes, there's only four missiles there. The other two caps are for show. Sue me.
And here's the back, with access ladder and containers that we'll come back to later. Yes, it's a little bit of design flaw that you have to climb over the missiles to access the cab, but I didn't want ladders on the side. Or doors. I was feeling very grouchy when I built this, okay? Don't judge.
And here's a nice top view forya. Missiles ready to fire, roof in place, hatches battened. Al has decided to nap.
Here's Al in the cabin at the controls. He likes the little explosion screen, and I have to say, I'm very fond of it, too. Oh, yes, the roof lifts up. It's a design flaw, sure, but at least you can sell the convertible factor.
Here's the cabin without Al. It's nice, and if I had more control boards, it would look a lot more hi-tech. Oh, well. Looks like he'll be driving with levers.
Here's the minifig access hatch to the cabin. It only just barely scratches its way past the missile launcher.
And here are the containers I was talking about earlier. They attach rather nicely, and seamlessly, I think. This particular vehicle is carrying gems and money, as well as an important correspondence. Yes, Al, good job. You found the money.
Um, Al, that money belongs in the containers, and I wouldn't advise taking it... The vehicle's AI is very strict about that sort of thing...
Aaaaaaaand there's the missile, complete with plastic stand and flame. Sorry, Al.
Boom! Really bad effects explosion!! I guess those old missiles still work, after all...
Anyway, that's that. I'll reassemble Al later on; I'm sure he'll be fine. He just loves running away with stuff, you know? So, yeah, coming up: a mech, another vehicle(with TREADS! Oh boy!), and that elusive crossbow. Gotta love that high school schedule.
