DA3 CATEGORY 10: Ground Attack Aircraft
About this creation
We are RedLine Empire. Our Hydra Ground Attack aircraft is the superiority of the skies, and fills many roles.
CATEGORY 10: Ground Attack Aircraft (MILPO)
In DA3, the Ground Attack Aircraft is used to attack targets on the ground with greater precision than strategic bombers. They are modern attack aircraft that may be expected to function in high threat environments where enemy air defences preclude the use of strategic bombers.
Your Ground Attack Aircraft MOC must comply with the following 4 SPECs:
1. Your Ground Attack Aircraft MOC is minifig scale and must accommodate 2 pilots.
2. Your Ground Attack Aircraft requires wings that must be photographed at 2 distinct angles. (up/down, straight/swept back, etc.)
3. Your Ground Attack Aircraft must feature 3 distinct weapon systems.
4. Your Ground Attack Aircraft must include at least 1 air intake.
Fourth Wall Commentary: This is based on a real brick WIP I started years ago. This is simply culmination of years of thinking and with the parts I'd actually need to finish this, which I don't have. Enjoy!
Armed with Rockets, the a scaled down rail cannon, and missiles, this thing has it all.
I took inspiration from Slave IV, Pelican from Halo, and various other aircraft.

The rear entry ramp/hatch open.
The rear entry ramp/hatch closed.
This can double as a squad transport or a gunship.
This was rather difficult to make sure I could accommodate RedLine's colour scheme, whilst remaining legal.

Very cool lines (no pun intended)! I totally missed your builds, sorry about that! The propellers are top-notch too I'm glad you like it! Propellers? Am I missing something? :-)

Cool build! Great job with the photoedit too! Thanks! I love the model, but the edits I felt was a little sloppy this time, I wanted it added before tomorrow! :-)

The stuff you get done digitally, wow! Awesome nimble aircraft dude I'm happy you approve, Pico! I've started to get a hang of STUD.io, and it's not too bad for a CAD program. I still prefer real bricks for therapy reasons, but I can go a lot faster with a digital platform, plus having real bricks allow me to testbed ideas for legality. :-)

Ah, super cool! I really love that windscreen piece and how you've accommodated it! Plus the colors are great as Zach said! I'm glad you like it! I started building this after I got eliminated the first time, and I found that I STILL didn't have the colours to do it! After like 6 years! This digital thing is a running theme this time I guess... :-)

Awesome! That front end is brilliant, and I'm loving the overall style. A sparrow on steroids indeed. Thanks! I always loved those windscreen elements, and I wanted to resurrect this project somehow. Never thought of the sparrow connection. Kinda fitting! :-)

I know DAS gets picky about wings and such, but I see potential flight surfaces, I see vectored thrust abilities, and I certainly see how this could be considered a ground attack aircraft. General, you are cleared for liftoff. Best of luck up there. Excellent! The original WIP version of this would not have qualified. Back then it had stubbly wings and no noticeable VTOL capabilities. Glad to see the council approves!

A real beauty, Jack! I like the national colors in there and the VTOL engine pods are deluxe! Thanks, Zach! The pods were the hardest part. This is the direction I would've gone with my last faction, and I really wanted to leverage that old WIP.
