DA3: CGH-9
Cat5: Service Pistol (MILPO) for DA3. This is a digital entry.
About this creation
Heavy automatic sidearm CGH9 for DA3: Catland Corporation.

It has a somewhat archaic appearance, which is due to two main factors. 1-technology of production. 2 - the way of ammunition, with increased reliability and ease of reloading.

Weapons designed for officers and crews of military equipment. It has a sight with the option of laser illumination of targets for firing controlled bullets.

The fuse is set to the "fire"position.

The vertical feed of cartridges ensures maximum reliability.

We can supply the ammunition from both the top and bottom, which allows, if necessary, to load shells one by one.

Gun in hand.

Small-caliber variant. I think it looks more harmonious.

And holds much more ammunition! :]

Hand

I would be grateful if you support glorious Army of Catland Corporation and vote for this MOC :)

Well, with a short googling about "Mauser M712" you can find interesting CAD concept art, where it is already done: a forward handgrip was added to the cradle under barrel. Even delayed blowback Mauser M712 is very hard to handle and requires Strong and expriened gunner to hold it during rapid fire. Firing on bust target in 10m dispersion can be 5-7 inches because of the Strong recoil and relatively highly placed bore. Not typical grandma type of a gun...

Quoting Gabor Pauler If I remember correctly, the Mauser has delayed blowback mechanism to reduce the mass of bolt necessary to operate with high-performance cartridge. Simple blowback of WWII submachineguns will require higher mass of bolt, therefore targeting can be difficult just holding it with one hand.
Are you suggesting I add a second hand? ))

Quoting Gabor Pauler Mmm, this reminds me The Mauser, which became a common word in Russian also, being the standard weapon of Commissars since 1917.
Absolutely! Except that I simplified the design, based on machine guns during the WWII.

Blaster DL-44 was made for the filming of Star Wars from the same Mauser C96 ;-) Thank You, Daniel!
