About this creation
So the title above is the opening narration from the episode... I totally used this in the last MOC too, but that's just because it suited the MOC more then what the narration was in Jedi Crash
I said this last time, and I'll say it again, loved this two parter episode, but it's totally not my favourite. But there's lots of cool stuff in the episode that I can translate to Lego at least :)
I love AAT's one of my favourite Star Wars Land vehicles. So nice to build one and put it on cool landscape
So update on my rewatching of the Clone Wars, I am currently up to the Lost Missions, so I'm almost done. I plan to finish this long marathon with watching Ep 3 then Rebels and then the rest of the Original Trilogy. HYPE!
I'll go out and say it, I think Jar Jar Binks is a fun character. His inclusion in the Clone Wars has been fun
I also didn't realise until recently that The Lost Missions and Season 5 have Loth Cats in them... but they have different names in that series. Thought that was intersting
Also *Season 5 Spoilers* Ahsoka's decision to leave the order, however many years later, it's still just as emotional.
I actually bought 3 of the blue AAT sets when they came out, great set!
I love how the Clone Wars really expanded the corruption of the Jedi and also how they really make Anakin into a complex awesome character.
That and giving so many Jedi a character and a voice now. Plo Koon is the best!
Ohhh hard to pick a favourite Jedi. I love Obi-Wan, I love Kit Fisto and Plo Koon. I'd say Ahsoka, but you know it is debateable if she's a Jedi. Ohhhh Maybe Kanan is my favourite though?
Yo this MOC gave me a lot of really old MOCPages vibes. Anyone remember Commander Fed? Haha those were fun times. It was before I joined though, but I still looked at MOCpages in those days
I've used so much Dark Tan these days by the way haha, I'm amazed at how much I have
I considered making the Defoliator canon, but I love the traditional tank, so I wanted to make that.
Got a week off from University so I'm looking forward to making a few new YouTube videos. Don't forget to check my YouTube in the near but distant future :D
I've started to buy the new Han Solo sets, loving them so far. I want the Falcon but it's $270 here :'( Maybe I will when it's on sale
Man, by the way all these new Brickheads we've been getting all of a sudden, we went from like 8 to 88 it's incredible
I bought a custom Phase 2 Commander Fox a while back. I'd love to put him in a diorama soon. That and I want the new Bo Katan figure Arealight is selling.
As I write this I'm listening to a Podcast, and they mentioned Five Guys... Man I miss that place, wish we had it here!
Ok so this is my dream. We get the Clone wars back, even if it's just 2 seasons. Then we get an Old Republic Series that Dave Filoni is heading. And of course I want the *Rebels Season 4 ending Spoilers* Looking for Ezra, Ahsoka/Sabine story that hopefully expands on the New Triology... man...
Please Dave Filoni, announce the new series already!
Is there no Star Wars Celebrations this year? I swear I heard that somewhere. Does that mean there's no places they could announce a new Animated series this year?
Currently have 2 more Clone Wars MOC's built and ready to post... ish One is 90% complete the other is done, photographed and ready to post
Mannn I really need to dust off some of my old MOC's some of them are way too dusty right now D:
I'm still yet to photograph my Brick Cave... Still not so sure if I will though
Anyone know any cool websites I can buy some cool Star Wars Posters/Art? I'd love to have some of that stuff around my Brick Cave, anyway that is it for this MOC :D
Fourth Wall Commentary:
So this Diorama spawned because of the last one I built. This was done simply because I felt the tiny diorama needed a friend. I had so much fun building the tank, I'm very proud of it! I actually totally forgot to put an Aayla Secura Figure in this Diorama (I currently have one on the way that I just bought, so it'll be here real soon and I'll post an updated photo of the MOC with her in it)
The tree design on this MOC was very different for me, used a lot of SNOT and Mixel Joints and I think the design is really cool, it needs to be played with more but I figured I'd test it in this built and expand on things later :)
Next up is another Bionicle, then another Clone Wars MOC, Just the one though, there won't be 'Five' of them, but they will 'Echo' some of my favourite episodes (WINK WINK)
Great stuff, one suggestion, some of those white rubber band pieces as the bandages on Anakin. I am a little disappointed you didn't go for the Defoliator Cannon (Lok Durd is the best. " HELP!
I'll be defoliated!") but I get it. Talking about Jar Jar, I don't mind him either. In fact, the Disappeared two parter, as ridiculous as it is, and as much as it parallels Temple of Doom, and as I would normally dislike that, I found them to be some strong episodes, even if they were the least appealing of the Lost Missions. Lucasfilm metahumor was better done than Mercy Mission and Nomad Droids with other properties. And yeah man, those cats, they're called Tookas, and they are the "inspiration" for the doll that Numa has all the way back in the Ryloth arc despite first appearing in that last arc of Season 5. I was actually quite happy to see them again on Lothal because the design just works. I'd have one as a pet if I lived in the Star Wars universe. And as for Jedi, I also really like Plo Koon, and I think that's just because Dave Filoni pushed him so much because that's his favorite character. But I love the voice James Arnold Taylor provided, and he's got the Wolfpack! I feel bad for the guy that kept wanting to see the Bad Batch and had to settle for the Story Reel, meanwhile, the Wolfpack got an episode every Season. Season 1 Malevalence, Season 2 and 3 Finales, Season 4 Mercy Mission, Season 5 Finale, Lost Missions Finding the crashed shuttle. And as for the next show, I think we're still not going to know for about a year. That's about how long it was after Clone Wars that Rebels was announced. It's going to have to pit Ahsoka and Ezra agaisnt Luke. They're going to have to have differing philosophies in some way, and then that's when Snoke shows up. I really want the closure of a completed Clone Wars, but I don't think it will ever come, and if it ever came beforehand, I don't think we would have gotten Rebels as it became. Unfortunately, it kind of became a clean up crew of a show, but then also trying to have story and connecting it with everything else. It works and doesn't. This next show needs to tie even more in, and finally wrap it all up because we're going to need some better explanations for character absences. And switching gears one more time, I am losing nearly all interest in LEGO Star Wars as a set collector. There's too much, it's too expensive, and I have no more room. I'm getting that Snoke Throne Room set (It better be worth it, we still have yet to get pictures), but out of all of 2018's sets, outside of the ones I got at the beginning of the year which comprised of Microfighters, Ahch-To, and Grevious' Speeder, Snoke's Throne Room is the only thing that interests me and it's because it was an amazing scene in The Last Jedi. These anthology movies are going to be the death of me. The sets look cool, they're probably great, but so many just don't interest me much. I think it's because I'm not 10, and I also don't have as much of an emotional connection with the movies yet. I never got a single Rogue One set except for the two Microfighters because I'm a completionist with that subtheme, and if we get another Falcon, well then it better come with Lando becuse I kind of want him, but not at the price of an already overpriced and weird looking and gappy playset Falcon. And with Ultrabuilds and Brickheadz, I'm avoiding all Star Wars versions like the plague. I'm not getting sucked into collecting another subtheme of stuff. I remember gushing over the Episode III stuff back in 2005 and then fast forward ten years later, I see all the Force Awakens stuff and it's all dull and gray except for Rey's Speeder and Poe's X-Wing. I see the Last Jedi stuff, except it's even more all gray stuff. Episode I, there's brown Trade Fedoration ships and colorful podracers. Episode II, there's white and red gunships and Obi-Wan's Starfighter and Jango's blue and green Slave I. Episoode III, blue bad guys, red and white and yellow good guys. Clone Wars, well there's just more of all of that. Episodes IV-VI, well it's grays and whites, but they're the classics that I grew up watching on VHS, I had to get a bunch of those guys, and there's still a bunch of colored stuff, even if they aren't the right colors #bringbackbluetiefighters but then you look at the Sequel stuff and must of it is all drab. Then Rogue One and you have some color again, but I have no connection to the things depicted in the sets, and as great as the movie is, I have no place for U-Wing or TIE Striker. Now with Solo, there's some cool looking stuff like his landspeeder, but watch it only be there for five minutes. That's what happened with the Resistance Pod from Last Jedi, and I foolishly picked that up before seeing the move because I was hungry for VIP points. I'm not going to fall into the trap again. Oh, and then there's also just rehashes of things, like I need another one of a ship I already have. I'm actually more in the market to pick up sets I missed out on when I was a kid, and so although it is equally, if not more expensive, there's a more personal connection to the thing I am getting. And once again, I've written an incredibly large comment when I intended to try and keep it more concise. Oops.
Moderation is chewing on my comment. Blech. That's the price I pay for writing long comments, not using any bad words, but still saying something that may be misinterpreted as "inappropriate" or "rude" and I think I know what it is, too. Perhaps I need to censor it myself like idoit, carp, and [CNESORED]. Looks like fowlishly is joining my vocabulary.
I'm a bit disappointed you didn't go for making the defoliator, but nice MOC nonetheless.
Also, sweet,I've found someone else who doesn't hate Jar Jar(not that I'm a huge fan,but he's really not that bad).
