This was my re-submission for DA3 Category 10. Expensive, considering pilots are always hard to come by, the PA-43 "Wasp" is the 2-seat version of the PA33. This configuration includes a Weapons Officer so the pilot can concentrate on the flight plan. Built on the same platform as the Dragonfly, the Wasp is better suited for quick strikes, as it lacks the mobility of its little brother. Please enjoy. :-)
Your Ground Attack Aircraft MOC must comply with the following 4 SPECs:
1. Your Ground Attack Aircraft MOC is minifig scale and must accommodate 2 pilots.Complete.
2. Your Ground Attack Aircraft requires wings that must be photographed at 2 distinct angles. (up/down, straight/swept back, etc.)Complete. My photos below show that this craft is a multi-position aircraft.
3. Your Ground Attack Aircraft must feature 3 distinct weapon systems. Complete. This aircraft carries missiles, guided/self propelled munitions, and a point defense minigun.
4. Your Ground Attack Aircraft must include at least 1 air intake. Complete. The pods have very large intakes in the front.
It can be seen here that I went with a simpler rotational mechanism for the pods. The increased weight wasn't supportable by the previous design. This also makes this look beefier.
I stretched the nose out by 2 studs to accommodate the different windscreen, which was the original plan with the Dragonfly.
By increasing the length, I was able to incorporate the main national colors into the sides of the aircraft.
Going with the beefier theme, I increased the wing width by 1 stud, and made the tail 1 plate taller.
A rather tight squeeze, but both minifigs fit inside.
