The Shadow League's version of the Assault Team's Brigade!
About this creation
The Shadow League Brigade, like the Assault Team's version, refers to a set of 6 vehicles that are deployed on varying fronts of the battlefield. Like the AS's brigade, the SL Brigade set includes 2 wheeled-vehicles (a motorbike and an ATV), 1 boat, 1 aerial ship, 1 mech, and 1 hover vehicle.
The first vehicle in the set is the SL-standard motorbike. The SL-standard motorbike from a functional standpoint is exactly the same as the Assault Team's variant. Both have equal performances and are used primarily for personal transport instead of active combat. The only difference between the two is the color of the motorbike's paint.
Next is the SL transport ATV, a 2-person ATV used for transportation around the battlefield. While the AS Brigade's ATV is built for use in active combat (with improved armor compared to standard AS ATVs), the SL Brigade's ATV is used primarily to transport soldiers to and from the battlefield. The SL Brigade ATV can seat an additional soldier on the back of the ATV, sacrificing space to hold equipment and supplies. To make up for this, the ATV has slots on its sides for soldiers to put equipment such as firearms and radios.
While the AS Brigade uses an ATV for combat and transport and a hover vehicle (in the AS's case: a hoverboard) solely for transport, the SL Brigade uses an ATV solely for transport, and a hover vehicle for both combat and transport. This hover vehicle is the SL Combat Hover-Scooter (CHS for short). The CHS comes equipped with 2 small 10mm blasters that can be used to take out infantry and light vehicles. The CHS is powered by a minor anti-core drive (an SL-developed engine system utilizing fission of molecular anti-matter to create energy) that provides power for the hover-scooter's twin boosters and lift generators. The CHS can reach speeds up to 113km/hr (~70 mph), slower than the AS hoverboard but factoring in the CHS's design and primary function, makes it a dangerous vehicle to use against infantry in the open. The CHS also provides better maneuverability than the AS hoverboard making it the better hover vehicle to use on the battlefield.
For aerial combat, the SL Brigade utilizes the SL "Air Lancer" Fighter Ship for engaging small-medium sized aerial targets similarly to the AS "Interceptor" Small Attack Ship. One important difference however is that the "Air Lancer" is also used to combat infantry on land with its 2 heavy machine guns mounted under the wings. The "Air Lancer" also comes equipped with 2 20mm blasters and is powered by a larger minor anti-core drive, allowing the ship to reach speeds up to mach 3.
At sea, the SL Brigade uses an SL Frontline RHIB for transportation of soldiers and for combat against small boats and infantry on land (usually on beaches or other exposed locations along the water). The SL Frontline RHIB can carry multiple people (generally 6 but can carry more) that include a pilot and a gunner. Features of the Frontline RHIB include a heavy machine gun to fight against infantry and to attack small boats, advance communication antenna, and sonar/radar capabilities.
Lastly is the SL Brigade's final vehicle: The SL "Dark Storm" Combat Mech. The "Dark Storm" is a devastating medium-sized combat mech that can be used to take down infantry and small-medium sized vehicles on the ground. It accomplishes this with its arsenal that includes a large 20mm gatling cannon, 2 light blasters, and a missile launcher capable of firing 3 smart-homing rockets. The SL "Dark Storm" Combat Mech is plated with heavy titanium armor, making it much slower than than the AS Anti-Infantry Walker. To slightly compensate for this, the "Dark Storm" comes equipped with boosters on both arms that increases its speed and acceleration. These boosters are used in short burst in order to conserve energy to power the mech's other equipment but allow the mech to quickly move out of fire or to close in on a target.
And that's the Shadow League Brigade. Overall, the SL Brigade is evenly matched with the AS Brigade with both vehicle sets having their own advantages and disadvantages. Primarily, the SL Brigade provides better offensive capabilities with its larger weapon arsenal which is sacrificed in the AS Brigade for improved speed and defenses. Which brigade generally wins in a battle varies depending on the location, infantry size, and any other vehicles that are a part of the confrontation.
