About this creation
PT boat for DA3: Catland Corporation.

Scientists of Catland Corporation made a surprisingly scientific discovery! When they finally got out of the Internet and went for a walk, it turned out that Cathlandia is an island! Moreover, the location is unknown where, at least very far from the rest of the civilized world. The scientific and public world of the corporation was split - some scientists called to ignore the reality, return to the cozy Internet, where to continue virtual battles with the enemy. But the main part of the responsible persons made the only correct decision - since we are on the island, then we must build a navy! It was also decided to create a deck version of a successful Flying Cat attack aircraft .

For the beginning, it was decided to build a small shock ship to protect territorial waters - a torpedo boat.

As usual, the ship's design was preceded by a thorough analysis of the experience of military operations and the world arms market. As a result, engineers proposed a relatively large boat carrying 4 heavy long-range torpedoes. The use of modern heavy torpedoes saves Sea Cat from the need to break through the barrage at high speed to attack the target. Torpedoes are universal, so that when the rivals of submarines appear, the Catland fleet will be ready for this.
To save space, an atypical approach to the location of the torpedo tubes is applied-they are arranged in pairs, one above the other, pocky, with a deviation from the axis of the ship by 3 degrees.

For self-defense against aircraft, as well as destroying their own kind, the boat is equipped with a 57-mm twin automatic gun mounted on the stern.

On the bow of the ship there is an 8-charge launcher for launching rocket shells: anti-submarine depth charges, false targets or short-range anti-aircraft missiles.

Crew (from left to right): captain, shooter, mechanical engineer, sailor

Torpedo launch from the right upper torpedo tube. The left upper torpedo tube is prepared for shooting.

View of the boat when driving at low speed in calm water.

I would be grateful if you support glorious Navy of Catland Corporation and vote for this MOC :)

Thank You, Nick! I do not really like to build on a minifig scale. But if there are categories of military power in the micro ... ))

Quoting BATOH rossi Obviously a naval unit can only come good! I love the turret of 57, and the torpedo tubes are very realistic ... of course, with a high center of gravity, it takes a supply of Imodium during the rough sea!
Thank You! Yes, with two torpedo tubes, it would look more harmonious - it would be possible to make an superstructures lower) or put 4 torpedo tubes according to the traditional scheme, one after the other. But then it would have to reduce the caliber of the torpedoes or increase the boat itself, which I did not want )). Probably later I will add different variants of the boat - ideally, you want to build a model of the project 206m in minifig scale.

Quoting jim mcdonough convert the hull into a hydrofoil and triple the speed, its got the narrowsmooth hull just a couple of fins/skis needed
Thank You, Jim! Yes, you are absolutely right, I originally planned it. As a prototype, I used a Soviet torpedo boat pr. 206m. He is on hydrofoils. But on the other hand, this increases the cost of construction, complicates production and repair. Therefore, I finally chose the traditional enclosure. Although, I probably add the option on hydrofoils.
