DA3, CAT10 the micro masacerer aircraft
A craft built for DA3 category 10
About this creation
My entry for category 10 for DA3 (ground attack aircraft). I read in the specification that the craft must have two pilots, at that moment I knew exactly the cockpit to use!
The craft has two pilots of course, two air intakes and 3 distinct weapon systems: two laser missiles, two rapid fire guns for spraying down ground troops, and two long range ion cannons (longest and closest to cockpit.) for firing down armoured ground vessels and armourments. The craft is so small, most anti-air guns dismiss it as a large bird. And even when it is being fired at, it is nimble enough to avoid shots. However the cockpit is so cramped, there is no room for quick escape nor space to store parachutes. The leadership of Airstrip One, believes this is good motivation for the pilots not to get shot down.

The craft can also compact into a mode that is easy to store.

By far I think that this is the best thing I built for DA3.
Thanks for viewing comrades!

Quoting Sean Burns Very cool take on the category. Has a cool Star Wars vibe!
Thanks, I reckon it has that vibe because the centre section was created when I was trying to create the cockpit for a small tie fighter.

Quoting Sam Sanister I think there was a WW2 era warplane where the pilot was basically laying down on his stomach. Having a pilot laying on his back is probably a first, however. :)
I'll have to look that up,sounds cool
