DA3: ULC 'Pitbull' with Wolf Squad.
Entry to Category 4 of Decisive Action
About this creation
"The Unified Lycan Coalition stands firm at the dawn of this new world, a world of war and chaos. However, despite the advances and leaps that technology have offered us, in the end warfare remains the same; it always falls back to the most basic of units…

The solider.

But a little bit of protection doesn't hurt..."

(Takar Vedan, Wolf Squad 18)

The ULC Armoured Personnel Carrier, often simply called the 'Pitbull' is a slow but solid beast in this new world of war. Protected by thick armour plating, as well as a state of the art force-field, the Pitbull is a beast not to be messed with.

Pitbulls, like all ULC Ground vehicles, are distinguishable by their bright red colour scheme. Though some claim this colour makes the Pitbull an easy target, the ULC have seen no sense in changing it.

After all, when comparing to the colourful schemes of other nation's, the Pitbull seems tame by comparison.

Featured above is the Pitbull's main defensive weaponry, the ULC 'Fangspitter' machine gun. With a rather impressive fire rate, as well as range, the Fangspitter provides the Pitbull's 'bite' on the battlefield. Set on a rotational axle, nothing can hide from the Fangspitter's barrels

The Pitbull itself is manned by a team of two, a driver and a gunner. However, what makes the Pitbull unique is the gunner unit. After a rather unfortunate accident involving a Fangspitter, five soldiers and an unhealthy amount of stupidity, it was decided to replace the gunners in all Pitbull teams with droids.

This not only improved the accuracy of the Fangspitters, it increased overall squad effectiveness by 10%. Plus, the Pitbull teams could throw out a chair, if they so desired.

However, the Pitbull's main purpose on the battlefield is transporting the ULC's 'Wolf Squads'. These squads make up the bulk of the ULC infantry, and can be identified by the crimson-red markings on their uniforms.

The squad pictured above, however, is not a typical Wolf Squad. This one has been arranged to display the more common types of ground forces that the ULC fields. However, regardless of unit type, all Wolf Squads are capable of riding in the back of a Pitbull.

The ULC Infantry units are listed below:

Pack Leader: Takar Vedan

The Pack Leader’s main role in combat is to analyse the situation and relay the best strategy to their squad mates. Takar Vedan is one of the best in the ULC, and his squad has risen through the ranks quite rapidly these past few months.

Each Pack Leader is equipped with a standard issue plasma revolver, personal force-field built into their cape and a neatly polished bowler hat.

Rifleman: Diana Jacobson

The Riflemen are the basic foot soldiers of the ULC. However, despite being the most common type of soldier, they are also the most versatile. Each Rifleman is trained in a number of different field environments, meaning that they are well versed in adapting in almost any combat scenario.

And as each is armed with the ULC AC-100, they make formidable foes in terms of firepower as well.

Masks: Thomas Tucker

The ULC Field Medics, affectionately nicknamed the 'Masks', are similar to the Riflemen in a number of ways. In fact, their environment training overlaps in several areas, though obvious their roles are very different. Masks are those that keep the rest of the Squad moving, and no Wolf Squad is complete without one.

Each Mask comes equipped with a ULC MP-50, a specialised piece of equipment then can heal small wounds and injuries via rapid cell regeneration.

Bombardier: Rachel Justine

Bombardiers are the ULC’s long-ranged weapon users, trained to operate the various forms of ballistic weaponry developed by the Coalition. They run demolition ops daily to improve their skills.

Justine currently wields the ULC Flame-Spear, a rocket launcher designed to pierce weaker vehicle armour, followed up by a napalm grenade. A rather deadly combo for infantry in enclosed vehicles.

White Cowl: Kayla McMillain

The White Cowl’s are the ULC’s stealth operation corps, best equipped for scouting and infiltration missions. Their uniforms are equipped with a number of camouflage options and variants, allowing them to adjust their suits to best match their environment.

Many White Cowl's prefer bladed weapons, as more bulky rifles can get in their way. Why Private Kayla prefers to run around with an unsheathed sword, the ULC may never know.

Harbringer: Barry Castle

The Harbringer's are the ULC's heavy soldiers, and provide the team with the protection that they need to rush into combat. Each Harbringer's suit and personal force-field is remarkably strong, though it robs them of their speed.

However, speed isn't really needed once a Harbringer brings their Stormhammer into play. It's generally over within a few hits.

Pitbull Crew: Glen Pizro and GD56

Lastly, we have the driver and gunner of the Pitbull. The Driver is trained extensively until every bolt and rivet of their machine is as familiar to them as their own skin.

The gunner droid really doesn't need much training, unless they're running Java.

Finally, we come to the last of the Pitbulls features, proving that the skies are watched as well.

After the driver has completed the secretive procedure (involving not one, but four individual button presses), the Pitbull's hydraulic systems kick into gear and...

...the Pitbull raises itself into the air, ready to unleash it's deadly salvo of bullets into the sky.

An alternative angle of the Pitbull's hydraulic system at work.

Support the ULC

By man, by claw, by loaded gun. We shall not rest till victory’s won
