The Nation of Lesser Freedonia is founded on the principles of civic duty. People of all classes worked to serve the greatest good of the nation, and all were happy to sacrifice the short term to achieve long term prosperity for all.
Naturally, it was quickly overtaken by a military coup on a road paved by well meaning idiots.
Today it is a nation for the military, by the military, with the Honorable Head of the Armed Forces serving dual posts as both military leader as well as the civilian executive in chief, leading to an increasingly unhappy, regimented society.
Fortunately for Sir Honorable Head, war looms on the horizon and his misrule should be justified for a little while longer.
The people cried out to the Honorable Head of the Armed Forces as his parade rolled through the square. He smiled and waved benignly before a sharp gust of wind mussed his carefully waxed moustache. The parade ground to a halt as an aide climbed aboard the motorcarriage and adjusted it with a tiny comb.
This was the third such stop, but none dared to complain as the diesel engines rumbled idly.
The aide gave a deft twist with his fingers, and the parade was once again on the move.
"It's good to be the king." Sir Honorable Head said to himself, but very quietly. He was a servant of the people, after all.
Fantastic job here Patrick! Excellent usage of the golden pieces and those starfish that double as stars (beautiful touch for sure). Also the bold contrast between the dark blue and deep red serve as a phenomenal backdrop. Well done and God bless, ~Promar~
P.B.! Glad to see you here mate, and welcome to Decisive Action! Really looking forward to what you bring to the table, especially going off of your microscale work. Awesome flag as well! Love the colour combination and the story.
Thanks for the helpful link to BL, the wings check out, as do the pearl gold pieces under them (#28870). Normally I would wait for CSM Inman to take a look, but I'm confident your National Flag is specifications-accurate and you are ready to compete in DA3. The DAS is glad to have you on board, and if this flag is any indication, you're sure to be a formidable opponent for the veterans to deal with. Best of luck in the Thunderdome!
