A classic space mech, THAT TRANSFORMS! Maybe an entry into round two of a moc pages contest depending on whether I have made it into top point scorers.
About this creation
I'd like to start off by saying thank you for visiting! This is going to be a wordy description but I'd highly recommend reading it, as you can tell by the length Im putting a lot of time into a full analysis.

This is my first classic space creation, in fact this is my first spaceship! Regardless, this could be my entry into Runkbolts mecha contest this year however due to complications, no one has a clue if there creation has been judged yet, thus the results for round one are not known. Therefore I am reluctant to call this an entry yet.

Nonetheless, onto the Moc itself. I named this moc based on its three modes (Reconnaissance Rover Mode, Aerial Assault Mode and Master Maneuverability Mode) the initials of the first letters in the mode making the abbreviation R.A.M.

Firstly, the Aerial Assault mode:
As you can tell it has a super clean aesthetic that I have adopted throughout my builds however the stripes and grills were included to not leave the build too plain, it also has two cannons at the front (rapid repulsor cannons) and functions include: two spring loaded missiles or as I call them - long range particle pulse cannons; a second feature would be the opening cockpit with room for one classic space pilot (with the oxygen tank/ jetpack thingy; a final feature is of course transformation. This mode is how the mech is stored when not in use as it is compact and can be kept in an unmodified hangar.

Next off, the Reconnaissance Rover Mode.for clarification This is the four legged rover. The transformation is pretty simple; it uses mixel joints with also function in this mode as articulation. There are two points at the front legs two in the arms and four at the back however they are hidden behind the top of the back legs and centre Of the rover.suprisingly the rovers well articulated. The spring missiles still function however they can also be added to the flagpole too function as a staff, this is so you can pose the thing (and other mech mode) without the pieces getting fired and lost. The rover mode functions as an energy efficient mech good for long steakouts or missions surveying the surface of the planet. The mode was unintentional at first and was a result of messing around with the moc and the interesting joint placement. Now other is arguably my favourite my mode!

Finally, the Master Maneuverability Mode, yeah I know, the names a bit far fetched but it lends itself to the cool abbreviation! anyway, it's function still include the firing missiles now functioning as planet to space shoulder cannons, they can also still be attached to the flagpole, it's one accessory since im not really bothered about accessories, classic space was more about the vehicles anyway; it's cockpit can still be opened as well with room for the whole figure. This mode is much more articulated than the last, the frame of the build and mixel joints are now exposed! Thanks to the transformation joints the mech has 8 joints! So due to this and it's solidity it's fun to play and pose with! And is much more maneuverable (as the title suggests). The modes function is to attack, it's Maneuverability size and design (especially the wings) give it advantage over most other mechs in space combat. However unlike the rover, this mode requires a lot of energy, thus they are deployed in small squads and require the rover mode and ship for escape.

Overall it was a fun, solid build, the theme for the next round is transformation (as suggested by me!) but I decided to give it a classic space twist, afterall it gives it some colour and who doesn't like classic space? Nethertheless, let's hope I make it to the next round of the contest, would be a shame for such a good build to go to waste. If you have any ideas for improvement, please comment as I could improve before it is hopefully entered or just comment and like anyway.
THANKS EVER SO MUCH FOR READING HOPE IT WAS WORTH IT!

Quoting Runkbolt 12 Great model man! Sorry you didn't move on to the next round, but this definitely is a cool mech. I love the classic space feel.
Thanks, I hope there are some good mocs to come from the next few rounds

Quoting Daniel H. I do have some classic parts, yeah, but I actually didn't use any. It's kind of neo CS, it looks like CS, but has some dark grey mixed in. It's not quite as CS looking as my mobile command base. I'm excited to see what you think of it! I probably won't be able to post it for a while though.
you'll have time, especially if round two is as slow as the first. I realised that my aerial assault mode looks incredibly similar to Twintwist from transformers so It'll be interesting to see if I can make another one of these look like Topspin, more of a mining And less weaponised version for purists like you say

Quoting Daniel H. Yeah. Just talked to my uncle about it, he said that there were flashlights that could be seen as guns, forward facing antenna/prongs of spaceships that could be seen as guns, but nothing was ever named. So yeah, it's all about imagination.
sooo. I'm excited to see what you do for your mech instead of weapons, and I guess if you have the uncle who knows about it you'll have the classic pieces.

Quoting Daniel H. Yeah, they had rocket carriers, but not rockets in the sense of weapons, I believe. More like the rockets we send to space. But I'm not 100% sure, I'm just a TFOL too. xD
I guess you could argue that its mostly all just about imagination.

Quoting High Emperor Duckiiiiieeeee VERY good job! Mine hardly transforms, but there’s a feature that I believe no LEGO mech has ever had before. (There’s a hint in the sentence talking about said feature)
THE LEGENDS ARE TRUE?!?!

Quoting Daniel H. Also, forgot to mention this, my one teeny nitpick is the fact that this has weapons and stuff, and CS was never about combat, and I don't believe any of the sets had weapons. But this really only matters if you're trying to be extremely CS purist, so it's no biggie.
I agree, but I needed to spice things up a bit, in fact I had the weapon be a flagpole for its humour in that classic space didn't really have weapons. besides I'm pretty sure classic space had big rocket launching cars. idk I'm only fifteen anyway so my knowledge on the theme is a bit limited.
