Insurgency: The Trojan Guard S1 E1 "Dang Aurelians"
"Dang Aurelians"
About this creation
Earth- Tokyo, Japan

Lights swept the dimly lit room. Night had fallen, and it was time for Lockdown on the Tokyo GI base. Two agents made their nightly rounds and checks.

After this task was completed, they made their way to a small, swiveling door. It slid open, and they walked slowly into a important looking room with a long table and an powerful GI officer. Sitting on the opposite side of the table was another man, who was bound with cuffs. Well, he wasn't exactly a "man" yet. Benson was 16, and already a criminal to the GI. However, even in this situation, Benson was ready to do anything for the cause he believed was right. He remained emotionless as torrents of questions attacked him. His interrogation would soon turn to torture, and he knew that well.

Outside of room, moving slowly toward the door, were two unfamiliar shadows.

One of the agents inside the interrogation casually looked at the entrance to the room. His brow furrowed as a orange glow started to come from the opposite side of the door. Faint humming could be heard. Suddenly it got very loud. The glow burst into a fiery blaze and the door shattered! The two "shadows" now became armored men rushing into the room with jetpacks fired to full thrust. One of them razed a plasma disk above Benson's head. Benson didn't flinch as it came down fast and hard. Missing his head entirely, the disk cut through his cuffs and set him free. The agents in the room were already dead or unconscious, and the two men stood in front of Benson. He smiled as they gave him a long box. Opening the box, he looked up at one of the suited men and nodded his thanks. "Lets go!" He said, moving toward the now nonexistent door.

The three figures sprinted through the facility, exiting through a large, sliding door. Benson grabbed his swords, (these had been contents of the box which he had so quickly opened.) and placed them on the back of his Ultra Bike. He situated himself inside and started to accelerate.

Looking to the left, he saw his brother, Marcus, boarding a small hover-bike. Beside Marcus stood a 20 foot tall, light green, dangerous looking mech. Inside was the the other man who had aided Benson’s escape. The man was named Jackson, but he liked to call himself The Lone Wolf.

As the three of them charged into the darkness of night, Benson let out a cry that apparently no one but himself could hear.

“For Aurelia! For freedom of all creatures!”

With that, he swerved into an abandoned tunnel, and disappeared into the night.

Earth- Tokyo, Japan, 5 hours later

“He couldn’t have just fought the guards himself! He was restrained, and they had rifles! And what about the door? As far as I’m concerned, doors don’t just spontaneously combust and take out THREE GI agents!” General Sabo looked frustrated and confused.

Mason Hawks had just arrived 20 minutes before, and was helping to investigate the failed interrogation.

“Sir, the escaped Aurelian must have had help. With three, or even two highly trained people, an escape like this could be easy! Has anyone checked the security footage?” Mason turned to the blank computer monitor.

“We tried! Those dang Aurelians destroyed the cameras with the door explosion!” Sabo’s mustache went crooked as he frowned at the wreckage of the room.
Over in the corner, two of the three GI agents were being treated for head wounds. The third had already died from being to close to the door when it exploded. Pieces of the blackened, shattered entrance lay around the base of the long table.

Looking over at a toppled chair, Mason noticed a long, thin, rectangular box.

“General, did you see that box? It doesn’t look like anything that would normally be in this room…”

“Yes. I saw it. It looks like it may have held guns or something of that sort. Why would Aurelians be carrying wooden crates around? It doesn’t look like it has anything to do with this escape.”

“Well, would it be alright if I took it back to another GI base for inspection?”

“Be my guest! Now, I have to go and get somebody to write a report on this! Maybe Nantucket would be up to that. Well, I’ll see you in a week at this same location. Bring info on whatever you find out about this stupid box. Dismissed!’

Mason walked toward the exit of the base. He knew that whoever had done this would be hiding by now. All he could do was try to find out where the box was from. Mason knew exactly who he need to speak with, but with his limited power, he wasn’t sure how to get off planet.

Pulling up his Data Pad, he noticed a message from an officer aboard the "New Year" space cruiser.

“Mason Hawks, you are being summoned to the "New Year" for the next two days. You will be observing the trainees learning how to place each new soldier. Please be ready to leave Tokyo within the hour! A transport will be arriving soon! Captain Glenn out!”

Mason grabbed his belongings out of the GI fighter he had arrived in.

“This is going to be a busy week! I’ll have to work fast! Mason thought.

As the sun arced through the sky, a small transport ship arrived to pick up Mason. As he situated himself for the long flight, he dropped the long crate next to him in the ship.

From a tall building only a few blocks away, a man looked through binoculars at the small ship rising into the sky.

“Lone Wolf, I have spotted the Captain leaving with the box. He will try and use that to track you and the brothers down! You must leave the planet immediately! Good luck.”

“Thanks Esgun, we will leave as soon as possible. For Aurelia!”

“Yes, For Aurelia!”

EPILOGUE:

"A report Sir? With all due respect, I will have a hard time writing about something I was absent from."

"It's not just a report! In fact, doing any paperwork might be entirely optional! However, I do need a spy, and you are about the best known to the GI at the time being."

"Do you think they stayed in Tokyo? I mean, they could have gone anywhere!"

"No. I don't think they stayed in Japan at all! But let me tell you something. I didn't make this clear to anyone else, but some of the doctors who arrived at the scene noticed long, thin, plasma burns on the Guards. These Aurelians were not just everyday criminals! They are using powerful tech, and are obviously working for someone who does have a base of operations here in Tokyo."

"I don't mean to contradict you General, but that seems like a large speculati-"

"Trust me, I've seen this before! You just need to poke around for information on plasma weapons in Japan! Is that understood, or do I need to write my own dang report and make you read it to yourself before bed every night?!!"

"Sorry Sir. I didn't mean to probe too much. I'll be at one of the GI airports within the hour."

"Nope, your not going with the GI. This is a solo mission. You are now an undercover civilian!"

"Right Sir! I'm am on it! But can I bring my guitar?"

Yeah it can take a bit to get acclimated... Here is the timeline which can be found in the FAQ http://www.moc-pages.com/group_conversation.php?id=23546&topicid=99589 Basically the RPG moves in real time except it's always 80 years in the future. Currently it is 2098 but you can set episodes at pretty much any date just not in the future

Quoting --R.K. Blast-- A decent episode! Some points to help you improve though; 1, Add dates. It helps to tie everybody's Insurgency stories together. 2, More pictures would have been nice. 3, I like the mech but if it's Aurelian it should be red. Maybe find a way to write it into the story as to why it's green? 4, As Kenbo said, always check with other players first if you want to feature their characters. But overall, not a bad start. I look forward to the next one! Also, you need to state what type of build it is, preferably in the title. I assume this is a free build? If so, you get 3 points. --Blast--
Thanks Blast! Yea, I am just trying to get the hang of all this Insurgency background stuff. Also about the dates, I'm actually not sure what year this is in because I can't find a chronological history anywhere on the site... xD If somebody knows what year I should place this in, I will start adding dates. Yes, I will explain the green mech (and the orange and white bike) in a future episode. Also I will label it next time. I noticed people did that after I already posted this free build.

Quoting Captain Kenbo That is William in the epilogue, right? You might've used him a bit too much without asking first... But I don't think it interferes with my plans too much so I guess he could've gone on a mission to Japan somewhere along the line... Adding dates would definitely help. And I'm all for tying stories together but in the future maybe check if it's cool beforehand! :p
Yea sorry about that. I won't use him again really unless it works into your story. Anyway Mason won't even be in Japan again for awhile, so this could be postponed if you don't want to write on it right away.

Quoting Captain Kenbo Good stuff! I like that this is set in Japan. I don't think think that country has been used much. William writing a report for something he wasn't involved with might be a bit of a stretch but okay :p
Thanks! I can change the part about Will if you'd like... just tell me if you do.

Quoting Winslow "Whit" Wadsworth Whittier The Wise™ This is awesome. Who is Esgun? Was the General being sarcastic when he said the GI's poster boy could do paperwork for an escape job in Tokyo? What is Mason's favorite color? The answers to all these questions and more coming in the next thrilling, action-packed episode of the adventures of Captain-not-really-a-captain Mason Hawk!xD
Dude you summed it up! xD Actually, the General said Nantucket could write the report because of his past in writing, and also the fact that his job is in the IIA. This qualifies as an IIA job.
