Transformers Movie Bumblebee + LDD file
Here's my first attempt at movie bumblebee. He's also my first carbot with this chest style.
About this creation
I encourage you to watch my youtube review of this build.

I have to say I'm pretty satisfied with the car mode.
I also photographed him in my newly made lightbox, so the lighting should be improved over my last posts.

I've had his review up on youtube for about a month now, I've just been putting off photographing him because it's a bit less convenient.

compared to my other minis. I'll try to get a review up of mini megs v2 pretty soon.

the back side of his car mode isn't very easy on the eyes, but at least he has tail lights.

to transform start by lifting up his head and rear windshield

rotate the back section down

fold out the legs. I've done my best to explain this in the image, though I explain it better in my video review.

flip out his feet

now rotate the waist around

lift up the sides of his car. these will become the wings.

condense the wings. they are a little blockier than I'd like, but I can live with it.

split the front of the car

fold out the arms

rotate the waste down on the ball joint

adjust the head

now lift the head in-between the chest

All done!

compared the other minis

minifig for scale

Thanks for looking! I encourage you guys to subscribe to my YOUTUBE CHANNEL if you'd like to see my builds in a more convenient format, as well as get video instructions for my builds.

P.S. the LDD file is a slightly older version with a different rear windshield. you may want to correct the design in LDD if you plan on ordering his pieces.

Quoting Daniel Ringuette Awesome work! That leg transformation is brilliant! All sorts of clever techniques used here! Both modes look terrific (especially for this small scale). Well done!
Thanks! the legs definitely took up the bulk of the design time.

Quoting Grim Block Masterfull as allways! Love the alt mode and the robot mode, so smooth and precise! And thank you for sharing the build! (although i really dont know how to use LDD :P~)
Thanks! If you were wondering how to generate the instructions from the LDD file, open the file in LDD (just double click the .lxf file if LDD is already installed, otherwise download Lego digital designer from Lego's website) and click generate building instructions in the upper right corner.
