Let objects float in LDD.
About this creation
Ahsoka gipson asked how I put the fruit on the bowl in the Brick Club and I promissed a post about it.
Because the teddybear witch thought that floating is her territory she will do the demonstration.
To put anything that won't connect to a stud like wheels, place a tile beside your object you want to place.
Put a 1x1 plate UNDER the tile but don't do anything in between.
Select the object AND the tile and plate.
Place the 1x1 plate where ever you want and the object will follow you move.
To put an object (most of the times a car) on a baseplate with road, only place the tile besides the object and selct objcet and tile.
Place the tile on a stud and the car will be on the road.

to place an objecct where ever and more accurate you need a scaffold of some sort you like.
I use this scaffold now for years.
It's a bit the same, select the object and one of the plates with holder.
When you move the holder over the rod, the object moves into the air.
This works for all three directions.
If you hae a scaffold you like, put it in your template so it's ready for use.

Thanks witch for your demonstration, you can put Cannibal and his car down....

Quoting Sombreroman ~ Oh cool! I just stack of 2x2 bricks under the model then delete them. :P
That's the most easy and a fast way to place objects and float things. With this technique however a car isn't on a street baseplate, it's a little above.

Quoting Grandson Fifticinco I remember seeing something like this back on the gallery! It's very innovative of You! ~G~
Thanks. That's true, I had a series of tips and tricks on the gallery that included this one.
