Mini G1 optimus prime (transforms!)
This is my second build of an optimus prime although my first upload. I hope you like it and leave a comment, more transformer mock coming soon and I am open to suggestions! :)
About this creation
This is optimus prime leader of the autobots.
A creation 4 studs by 12 and 4 bricks in height not counting the smoke stacks.
In terms of vehicle mode I opted to go without moving wheels as then I could make the leg and cab cleaner (the main aesthetic "clean") instead using grey circle tiles which I think look great and cartoony. As for the cab you will usually notice lego optimus' have grey hinges or ball sockets hanging out; for my design I used black t joints as they blend in with the black windscreen. You will notice the hands are removed during transformation and have been stored under the cab. All I think looks significantly bad is the visible head although at this scale I could find nowhere else to put it. Transformation is smooth say for the t joint at which you have to slightly pull on the shoulder. And of course some dislike the idea of removing the firsts. As for robot mode I went for a smooth aesthetic the circle tiles also help as they do not hang out much. Articulation is somewhat limited since the lower arms oddly move at the smoke stacks and the way the ball socket on the upper legs is placed means less forwards and back although the thigh plates would get in the way anyway other than that you can sure get some good poses especially with the ball joint used for transformation ; it allows a waist swivel and backwards crunch. That's it I think although I probably missed something thanks for reading and I would appreciate a comment as this is my first real mock. p.s. I left out accessories because mini-fig accessories work fine also I'm lazy. P.P.s I am new to mocpages and used a single paragraph only due to my inexperience, no instructions will be uploaded although if there is enough demand I'll post a YouTube video in the comments as I have 0 experience with lDD.thats all for now so Happy building!

Quoting SMARTAN 427 Wow, this is actually impressive. I would complain about the wheels being too small, but the overall MOC is so incredibly smooth for its tiny size that the wheels don't even really matter. A very convincing Optimus Prime, especially as your first upload. I look forward to seeing what else that you build. Welcome to MOCpages! Don't worry about the slower pace around here... Eventually, *someone* will notice things like this.
I'm glad so many people like my first upload and I'll be sure not to worry about the slower pace, thanks for commenting!

Quoting Joshua C. This looks great. I really love the blocky, minimal design. At first glance I didn't even realize it was only 4 studs wide.
Thanks i do really like theasthetic and appreciate your comment. Its a look i'd like to keep in my next moc, possibly a megatron or my micro formers. Thanks for the support joshua and all the other commentors and those who like the design!

Quoting Daniel Ringuette Welcome to MOCpages! This is an excellent Prime! Both modes look really smooth! It's hard to build TFs at this scale and you really nailed it! Well done!
Thanks that means a lot to me
