The new Pirgos Arena is the main indoor stadium at the capital of NW Territories. The construction started in pre-crisis era and it took over 8 years to finish with the final budget rising significantly compared to original estimates. It is designed as a multirole arena able to host basketball, volleyball and handball games, as well as concerts and other events.
Some technical data:
Main hall area 0.56 square meters (6 square feet) and volume 0.163 cubic meters (5.7 cubic feet or 311000 cubic studs), total footprint approx 13200 square studs).
Structural capacity ca 900 spectators. Current indoor games layout limited by permits and safety regulations to approximately 688 spectators (VIP red zone 32, VIP blue zone 84, VIP grey zone 72, standard seating 451, VIP private ~50 at 2nd level).
Media facilities include 12 broadcaster stations, central console and 6 mounted tv cameras, including 2 robotic skycams.
Pure lego construction with the addition of videowall scoreboard and lights.
