Stalin's Hammer... In LDD...
About this creation

Opening rear hatch... That goes nowhere.

Development was started in June 1944 by the Uralmash Design Bureau. The vehicle was based on the T-44 chassis and had a conventional configuration, with the front placement of the fighting compartment. In October, People's Commissariat of the Tank Industry considered the SU-122-44 project. In December the design project was ready. However, the SU-100-M-2 with the rear placement of the fighting compartment was preferred.

Model Features:

- 10 Wheel Independent Suspension
- Elevating/Depressing Gun
- Elevating/Swiveling DShK Machine Gun
- Opening Rear Hatch with Removable Engine
- Opening Rear Superstructure Hatch
- Rolling Tracks

I have been meaning to do this Tank Destroyer/SPG for a while but put it off due to lack of experience with sloping plates the way they are required. After the WZ-120-1G FT I thought I'd give it a shot and see what happens. I am satisfied with the outcome and glad to finally have it finished.

EDIT: I am proud to announce that this is the ONLY SU-122-44 on MOCpages...
