As I tried with LDD some time before, now I have the right parts together it was time to show my version of Obelix! It's another hommage to Goscinny & Uderzo, on top of my favorite comic- authors and painters... ;) This one is posted with special greats to Tom Remy, whatever and whereever he is at this moment! Tom: send us a vital sign on MP, we miss you so much !!!
About this creation

Of course Obelix is one of the most popular comic- figs I know, maybe more than his best friend Asterix! Maybe it's because of his childish character... ;) I only build what I love!

Obelix has a VERY good appetite, espescially he enjoys the taste of a well roasted boar...

I'm really not a good sartorial, but these simple trousers was really nifty to get ready.. ;)

Okay, the best gaulish friends together, and yes: I updated my Asterix also to 2.0... ;) And yes, Dogmatix is also updated... :)

And now by popular demand some new pics of Dogmatix and the boar...

Enjoy and have FUN!

Quoting Jeremy McCreary Thanks for the extra pics, Oliver! Never thought I'd find myself calling a wild boar adorable, but it's happening. Dog's pretty cute, too.

Quoting Henrik Jensen Absolutely brilliant rendition of Obelix! He`s perhaps still a bit too thin compared to the comic stripes, but your amazing use of parts more than compensates for that. I really love your Asterix too. I wish you and your family happy holidays!
Hahaha, wait until he'd shifted that boar! ;) Thanks very much, my friend! There's only one brick bow (part 41766) that would make a better shape, but it's 2x8x2 and that's sorrowly too big for this scale and not available in white or blue... Best wishes also to you and your family, Henrik!

Quoting Nils O. Wow, that's awesome, a lot better than your first one. Great job! :-))
Thank you so much, Nils! Happy you feel well entertained here! It's much easier to construct in real than in LDD, even it took time for the right parts. In real you've much more connective change possibilities... ;)

Quoting Vladimir van Hoek Great job! Some excellent parts usage, the eyes, mustache, braids, the tiny wings on his helmet! Well done, all Obelix features included! I do miss a menhir 2.0 though :P
Hahaha, thanks a lot, Vladimir! Good to hear, that my Obelix is to your gusto! :) And the menhir was posted former here http://www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/440117 (left side, as a sidekick...) and in the 1.0 version ... ;) Seriously: I like to do another post with the menhir next time... lol
