"What can you do when you have no place in this world? In this situation there are two answers; first, change to fit the world around you; second, make the world change to fit you." ~Toa Tempus
About this creation
In the time before time, we the matoran were taught that when there is great evil, there is a great hero. This is the story of a titan, before Toa Tempus was a toa he was a matoran, like all of us who live in Metru nui, never succeeding at anything he was an outcast, that is of course until the day he found it, a toa stone!
As a toa he was well known as fearless, believing that it was his destiny to destroy the league of the six kingdoms, he fought alongside the Makuta, victory was achieved, but in the aftermath of the battle he discovered the Brotherhood's plan to takeover the universe. When he confronted them, they imprisoned him and mutated him to hordika.
First he felt despair, then he came to the realization that in his new form he could rally an army of Toa to defeat the Makuta, the rebellion was short lived the forces of the Makuta proved too strong for the Toa. But Tempus didn't give up, he started hunting down Makuta one by one as his animal instinct took hold. One day it took him a step too far, he challenged a top officer in Makuta's ranks to single combat, he survived only because of the location, the battleground was chosen around a pool of energized protodermis. During the fight Toa Tempus was pushed into the pool, the fight looked to be won, until a giant hand arose from the pool and Toa Tempus emerged a Titan! Beginning the fight anew the Toa and the Makuta fought harder than ever before, the energies created by the battle started to collapse the cavern the Makuta seeing this turned to flee only to find Tempus holding him in place bending over and whispering in his ear Tempus said, "I will not let you harm another soul ever again, if to do that requires my death, then for the greater good so be it!" And with that the cavern collapsed. Over time the legend of Toa Tempus became just that, a legend. Thousands of years later, a matoran mining team stumbled across a cave evidence showed that at some point in time it had collapsed, digging into the rubble they were startled to find a giant hand, digging frantically now they uncovered the tomb of Tempus, still holding the Makuta. As they bowed their heads in respect they heard a noise, breathing, gravel shifting, and a giant rising, Toa Tempus lived!
