Built in 1979 solely to be the first car to break the sound barrier, or Mach 1, the Budweiser Rocket was basically a liquid-solid hybrid rocket with a sidewinder booster with three wheels and a pilot seat attached. Even though it was the first car ever to break the sound barrier, going 1190 km/h / Mach 1.01 it never got the official record because it had only three wheels and the speed measurement was deemed too inaccurate afterwards.
