Budweiser Rocket Speed Record Car
The Budweiser land speed record rocket car.
About this creation
Built in 1979 solely to be the first car to break the sound barrier, or Mach 1, the Budweiser Rocket was basically a liquid-solid hybrid rocket with a sidewinder booster with three wheels and a pilot seat attached. Even though it was the first car ever to break the sound barrier, going 1190 km/h / Mach 1.01 it never got the official record because it had only three wheels and the speed measurement was deemed too inaccurate afterwards.

Thats the story of the Budweiser Rocket land speed record car.

This is a digital render due to part availability. Parts count is 475 pieces, it features front wheel steering, a proper cockpit and correct aerodynamics.

Quoting Marc "Edge" R.unde Nice one! Recognised it at once. Wanna try the blue flame too? ~marc
Thanks! I actually tried to do the Blue Flame; unfortunately the swept-back rear suspension is very hard to replicate. Maybe one day I'll figure it out. :D
