Microscale King George V WIP Update #2
A work-in-progress picture of my microscale King George V battleship.
About this creation

I'm nearing the home stretch on my microscale King George V project. The forward superstructure is done, and so are the forward primary turrets. I just have to shape the bow and add some details to the weather deck and it will be done.

This is likely to be my last update before I finish the project.

Quoting Doug Hughes Yes! Still looking amazing!
Thanks. I'm hoping that I'll be able to display the finished build pretty soon.

Quoting Red October I would agree entirely. This is a superb model, but I'm not really sure the term "micro" is fitting. 1/190 is quite a large scale (I personally consider 1/350 to be big myself!). Anyway, I love the KGV class battleships, and am ineffably pleased to finally see their fine lines done justice in lego.
Thanks. Obviously, I like the KGVs, too; otherwise, I probably wouldn't be putting so much effort into recreating one of them. Regarding scale: I suppose that "micro" means different things to different people. There are Lego-related groups on Flickr that define "micro" as 4-wide vehicles (i.e. somewhere in the range 1:60 to 1:75), "nano" as 2-side vehicles (i.e. roughly 1:120 to 1:150), and "pico" as 1-wide vehicles (i.e. roughly 1:240 to 1:300). By those definitions, my scale is even below "nano".

Quoting Subic Vedran That is great battleship. And not so small at all.
Thanks. I guess it is a little hard to call something "micro" when it is about 1.2 meters long. The scale is about 1:190, which is 5 times smaller than minifig scale. A full-grown man would be about 1 block tall at this scale.

Quoting Seaman SPb Fantastic work! Very professional and with great attention to detail!
Thanks. I tried to add as much detail as reasonably possible, but I'm not sure about the correctness of all of the details, since I had to use multiple references. As with most WWII-era battleships, the KGVs underwent a number of upgrades during the war, particularly to their AA batteries and sensors. I'm trying to get closer to the 1941 version of the KGV, but I suspect that some of the details of later versions have crept in.
