G1 Transformer: Mini Optimus Prime (V2)
Introducing Mini Optimus Prime (V2)! I feel like I haven't posted a real brick MOC in quite some time. I have some others in the works that I will hopefully be posting in the upcoming months. Anyway, I was not happy with my previous version as it had odd proportions and limited leg articulation. This version has much better proportions and significant improvements in articulation. Vehicle mode is still fairly smooth (although I wish I could figure out how to hide his shoulder joints) and robot mode is infinitely better. Mini OP transforms from truck to Autobot leader without the addition or removal of any parts. Truck details include front headlights, horns, large front bumper, taillights, smoke stacks and fuel tanks. He can fit a Minifigure in truck mode although there is no proper seat. He can also store the Matrix of Leadership in the cab (but not both together :). I had a lot of fun with this build and can’t wait to show you my updated full size Prime! Please feel free to rate, comment and ask questions! Thanks for watching! Until next time… Update: I have included instructions for the first time and hope to add them for some of my other creations as well (thanks to Joshua C.) Happy building!

Quoting [ Kromastus ] Wonderfully impressive, particularly on such a small scale. Great amount of detail and poseability.
Thanks! I just checked out your new V2 Prime and my goodness, fantastic work!

Quoting Nick Barrett The smaller you go, the cleverer you have to be. Outstanding!
Thanks Nick! As always, your comments are much appreciated!

Quoting SMARTAN 427 i have yet to see the first version, but this is nice. I too like the waist panels shifting. I feel like the shoulder joints definitely could be hidden by a panel plate of some sort that folds over them, but it isn't that bad in the grand scheme of the MOC. Great work!
Thanks! Yeah, you should definitely check out the first version...if only to appreciate the improvements... it's pretty bad :)

Quoting alex wong This is an awesome mini size Optimus Prime, Daniel. I agree that its robot form has better proportion n articulation. I think the shoulder joint in vehicle form has no big deal in appearance. Well, it still can fit a mini figure. Great work!
Thanks so much Alex! The exposed shoulder joints are bothering me a little less :). I appreciate your kind words and I'm glad you like it!

Quoting Joshua C. I was actually pretty tempted to ask for bumblebees file a while back as well, but I was kinda under the impression that you had a reason not to include the files for any of your builds :P. It would be pretty cool if you uploaded some of the files for your transformers.
I'll make the changes to Optimus' LDD file and hopefully upload some other files too. I'm glad you asked :) Thanks!

Quoting Joshua C. Great work here. I like how his waist panels push back, and the greeble looks pretty good throughout the build. Any chance you'll add the LDD file for this build? It seems like it'd be a pretty cool model to play around with.
Thanks Joshua! I was thinking about it. You're actually the first person to ever ask me for instructions :). I would just need to make a few changes to the LDD file as the real brick version is slightly updated. There are some problem areas where he is a bit fragile during the transformation, but he is pretty sturdy in each mode. Thanks again for your comment!

Quoting Jacob Moon's Mocs Awesome is there any way you can move the ball joint parts back and then ad paneling to the 1x2 side that's all I can think of of course you would have to make the cab of the truck longer ps can't wait to see lightning McQueen
Thanks Jacob! Odds are, the ball joints will just need to be visible. I'm okay with it :). I really appreciate your comment though (as well as adjusting for the first like glitch ;). Lightning McQueen is getting there. I just need to order some pieces (as usual :). Thanks again!
