This my third build in my series of builds based on The Chronicles of Narnia. This one is form The Horse and His Boy. It's when the Narnians mistake Shasta for prince Corin and take him with them in Tashbaan.
The Horse and His Boy is my favorite book in The Chronicles of Narnia, so I was really excited to be able to design a creation after it.
I'm also planning on entering this into the Ye Olde Switcheroo category in the CCC (that is, if my Classic-Castle account will be activated soon...).
In the end I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, I ended up going through a lot of ideas (most of them didn't end up working though), so this took a while.
I also had some helpful input on my WIP, thanks to all who helped!
Another thing, I really like how the cheese slope mosaic turned out. I came up with it last week
Nice one Carter! Sheesh, can't wait for the movie to come out (though it'll likely be the last if they even /ever get that far)... Love all the color and minifig activity, really makes it come to life. The smooth street with the curvy border is a great touch, as is that cheese slopy thingy. Hey, what's Tsarmina doin' hangin' around for? ;) God bless and keep on brickin'! ~Promar~
If you're taking suggestions for the other builds in the series, it would be great to see an optical illusion / forced perspective for The Last Battle, showing the end of Narnia looking through the stable door from Aslan's country. It would be tricky getting the angles / sight lines just right, but it would be amazing if you could pull it off!
Very good! I particularly like the details on the light tan building, especially the use of the hinge plates. Also, <insert old man complaint about how this should really be number five in your vig series instead of three, but kids these days with their new-fangled chronological ordering keep messing up my lawn>
