The third and final round of The Eight Piece Building Challenge is about to end, so naturally, I whip this up at 3am and then take photos and am now uploading to MOCpages at 4:30.
To continue the theme of Sci-Fi I've had through the other two rounds with the Hoverboards and the City, I built a little hovertank... that is also stealth... and fires pew pews! (Not actually.)
I think I got some good detail into it this time, but you know, probably not. I mean, it's all black, so at least it's consistent, except for the gray from the turntable.
That allows for some nice angles of the gun, and the gun is also has that nice finger hinge piece. Finger hinges are the best kind of hinge, don't let anyone tell you otherwise; they lie.
And with the whole build being upside-down, the studs underneath allow for a nice illusion of the tank hovering. Science is awesome.
Okay, so let me say that this is eight pieces. That turntable is old, and would have come preassembled. I don't want to get in any fights about this, so I'm going to tell you that it was last in production back in 1998 and turntables didn't start coming separately until 2007, maybe 2006, and those are the boring ones without finger hinges anyway.
