This is the Flying Dutchman, a love-child from the love triangle of a Mallard, a Garrett and my twisted mind. It's a fictional steam powered locomotive.

In 1927 the Dutch firm "the Flying Dutchman Railroad Company" was in search of a new Locomotive. The current Locomotives weren't fast nor strong enough to run the tight stressed schedules.
Due to the tight corners in the tracks a simple larger locomotive wouldn't cut it. The choice for a articulated was strait forward. To cut the fuel consumption a streamlined loc was required (The Dutch are as gready as can be).
During the second test-run the Flying Dutchman reached such a high speed that it ended up in Poland and since has never been seen again.
Soon it became obvious that the Flying Dutchman was to fast for such a small country and it was abandent.
I hope you guy's like it and please feel free to leave any thoughts and comments.
