This is a model of a 747-100. It is an early TWA 747 and is absolutely giant. This model is 5 1/2 ft long and has a wingspan of five feet. It is built in 8 sections to be more portable. It has full functioning flaps and has fully functioning retractable landing gear that are able to hold the entire weight of the almost 60 pound plane. In one of the pictures it is compared to a lockeed constellation that is one of nick deans design. I hope you enjoy this build. I will upload more pictures of the interior once I get more seats.

Quoting El Barto ! A really professional job here, Chief! Would like to see some edited or outdoor shots. And I think real bricks are the way to go, even if you have to put some clear bricks under there for support. Love it!
Thanks!

Quoting jim mcdonough amazing work on this, massive in size for a lego aircraft,i agree you cant beat building in bricks sometimes LDD just wont do and the skill in keeping the stresses at bay is part off the build which in LDD you dont have to worry about.shaping is spot on although the tail looks small but thats prob due to the angles of pics with being so big.cant imagine how many seats you plan on putting in this.
thanks. I know the tail can look small but trust me it is massive. Some of these angles aren't the best and will post better pictures later.

Quoting Kurt's MOCs Beautiful work! The design and build are excellent. I love the flaps and landing gear. Nicely done.
Thanks that really means a lot to me. The flaps were a massive challenge to intergrate into the already stressed wings but I think I did Ok... I am one day hoping to do a 737-100 and a 707- something.

Looks great. I don't think I could build something that big and heavy without a seriously braced technic sub frame.

Quoting Gabor Pauler Mindblasting hull shaping and wing/ control surfaces, congratulations! Also it could be a complete horror story structurally. The gaps and bending of bricks show how big weight they hold. Therefore, I think this model would look better in digitally rendered than in real bricks.
Thanks in terms of the wing issues and overall stress I have been working to reduce those and have already been able to bring the outer engines up by about an inch. I personally rather build the model than do in on a computer mostly because I can barely build a basic house on LDD but I see your point.

Quoting Henrik Jensen This is really a spectacular model! I like the smooth wing design, and the working flaps is a cool feature. Quite impressive that the landing gear is able to hold the massive weight. Beautiful work! Btw. do you have a FLICKR account with some high res. photos?
Thanks. I had a Flickr account but closed it. I may create a new one but am still debating it.
