LDD file for Benny, his 1961 Corvette and his HQ building is included!
About this creation
This building was inspired by my brother's take on set 6398. (Central Precinct HQ) He added a back staircase module, while I removed the prison cell and changed the color scheme from white and black to blue and white. The windows and doors were also modernized, and a spinning dual sensor array added to the roof.
The car MOD was inspired by the flying car named Lola from the Marvel set number 76077. (Iron Man: Detroit Steel Strikes) The color has been changed from red to blue, with a trans-yellow windscreen and whitewall inspired tires. I removed the flying car convertible wheels and replaced the printed front grille with actual grille tiles.
Deep in the distant reaches of outer space on some dusty moon sits Classic Space Command. In this simple structure of a distinct late 1970's style lies the brain and nervous system of the Classic Space fleet. It looks to be small and insignificant, passed over by the universe at large, but buried five miles underneath this simple building is the bunker that houses the TRUE base of command and it's staff. Everything in the building above is in fact duplicated below, with computer systems shared between both. The building is even rigged to explode at the faintest sign of imminent attack, with all the necessary staff moving easily to the bunker below.
The rear of the model while closed up.
The building's back staircase opens up about 90 degrees to get at the inside details.
The staircase module allows for figures to easily move between all the floors.
The top floor is Benny's office and flight command, while the third floor is the break room and an office. The second floor is only offices, but the first floor features a secure conference room and main lobby.
This model;s color scheme was inspired by this post by Oran Cruzen: www.moc-pages.com/moc.php/437187 Some parts were unavailable to build it in real life using the colors he chose, so I changed the model a bit to fix that.
The car can seat one mini-figure, and the cabin features opening side doors. I also added a licence plate, rear bumper, and side mirrors.
