Our LUG involved in a once in a lifetime event.
About this creation
TNVLC is almost always busy. Typically our LUG is involved with numerous events every year. Brickapolooza is our annual Huntsville show, while Brickblast is our Nashville show. We're almost always the biggest group at BrickFair, Alabama each year. In addition, our Knoxville branch has been active with everything from Robotics Revolution to Fantasy of Trees, and even as I write this much of the LUG is at BrickUniverse in Knoxville. You can also find many of us at the Nashville Public Library Lego Contest each year, as well as various school and library events throughout the year. This year, the Nashville chapter also participated in the Music City Solar Eclipse Festival at the Adventure Science Center.

This was rather atypical for us, it was a mostly outdoor event, and of course space themed. Since it was space themed, we're shorter on displays than I think we'd like. The Huntsville branch does more space than most of the Nashville branch, but Rafe, Edward and I opted to bring what we had. Jenni, Yvette, and Willie got out the play brick for the kids. With much of the club tied up in prep for Knoxville's BrickUniverse display, it was a lighter turnout that most of our events, but we still had some fun, even if I did end up a bit heat sick.

Anyway, I brought my Drone Scout Ship, Emergency Escape Pod, Updated Modular Space Freighter, Micropolis Planetarium, Aquarium, and Library, Alien Flying Wing, Alien Space Fighter, Micro Space Speeder, Star Fighter with Diplomatic Shuttle Attachment, Strafe Runner, and White Space Racer.

Edward wasn't able to attend in person but kindly lent his Silverhawk's Miraj and his space themed amusement park ride (motorized) to help out.

Rafe stole the show though with his rather elaborate orrery which works (both hand crank and motorized) and includes a leap year function in addition to seasons. He surrounded it with custom made versions of the Greek zodiac.

In other me news, I am building. Right now I'm working on a micro-scale mountain which should double as a backdrop to my micropolis. I've completed a number of changes, upgrades, and new builds to my habitats. I have several new ones to post, as well as old ones to report with some notable changes. I have three habitats left to finish before I post them. I've got a few other things I need to finish, hopefully one or more will be decent size. I've got on digital project underway, an odeon, but it's stalled and I'm kind of tired of LDD right now (you can all cheer). Odd note: This is my 100th post to MOCPages in 2017.
