I just finished reading the Chronicles of Narnia (for like the fourth time), and I really wanted to make some stuff from Narnia. I'm quite happy with how the landscaping turned out, but if you have any critiques let me know. This is a scene from The Magicians Nephew. I also think I'm gonna build a scene from each book, what do you think?
Ah, the Chronicles of Narnia, their on my classics list that I read every year (along with LotR), well I started last year, but so far I've made good (I've already got through them in this year). Love the idea of builds of each book. Like Promar said, they'd make a nice display. Good luck on the next builds.
Very nice. I'm glad I'm not the only one who goes into Narnia for building ideas. Not a bad scene from the sixth in the series. (I refuse to recognize the publisher's decision to reorder the books chronologically because magician's nephew spoils lion the witch and the wardrobe that way.)
Nice one Carter! Can't wait for this to come out on the big screen :D Really like what you've done here with the giant trees and the subtle SNOT landscaping. Provides excellent variety throughout and just enough vertical emphasis to make this scene really work. The pools are pretty cool too. They might require a darker color to make them look deeper (or maybe that's not true to the book), but they flow nicely into the surrounding grass. Absolutely all for you making a scene from each book; if there was any way for you to keep them all intact, that would make a fantastic display for somewheres. God bless and keep on brickin'! ~Promar~
